Well here is the original referenced source:

Make of that what you will.

She's so fine, there's no tellin' where the money went - Simply irresistible.

Ha I'm not exactly writing a thesis here, this a car forum

Besides, it is fully referenced! Reference 4, down the bottom "Helliwell, J.; Layard, R.; Sachs, J. (2017). World Happiness Report 2017. New York: Sustainable Development Solutions Network. ISBN 978-0-9968513-5-0."

But this country served you well jeff for all the years you worked in it and saved the money to sit where you are now in the sun drinking cocktails and being on the forum most of the time......

Dont write this country off because you feel your in a better place.

Nobody really knows what lies ahead but lets face it times of late havent been good for alot of reasons. OUR choice has been made so lets just get on with it :thumbup1:

Health to enjoy. :punk:

yup,yup,and yup...:thumbup1:

I think we will be fine. Plus other countries will leave the EU and trade deals will be set up. British politicians are sly and conniving but very smart. Just worried about our armed forces as they are in decline and moral is low so lets hope if we need help our "special friendship" with the US bails us out.

Also worried about Spain taking back the "Rock" (Gibraltar) in any negotiation's.

Roll your sleeves up and make it a success or sit about moaning, those are the only choices now.

I did a lot of reading and a lot of thinking before I cast my vote, I tried to convince myself to go against my gut but I kept coming back to my original thoughts. The coverage was and still is abysmal from both sides, the impartiality of the BBC, Christ... really? I can categorically state, I'm educated, I'm young and not a rasict. I also wasn't duped by anyone. I voted out because I feel that Britain is economically and socially, in the long run going to be better of as an independent nation state able to decide its own law. The UK and EU are very different to what they were when we joined and current tie to what I believe is a failing Eurozone is not conducive to a successful Britain. We're definitely on untested ground but as they say fortune favours the brave. If you think it's going obbe all roses your deluded but imo this was a band aid that needed ripping off. As we say here "who's afear'd".

These are pretty much my own thoughts too.

I voted to leave; but purely because I think the EU has become a bloated, power obsessed gravy train for those who run it. They pretty much run the EU to benefit themselves rather than the state members; which is not what it was originally set up to do...

Furthermore, in this country (as in every other EU member country) we vote every 4-5 years for our own government. And our elected government should always be free to pass its own laws and make its own decisions through Parliament. Whatever our MPs decide upon should be the law of the land - until they or their successors alone decide to repeal it later on. It should not be so, that an unelected body across the channel can over-rule a decision made by our democratically elected government (who ever that might be).

Did I regret voting leave, once I realised that the leave campaign had won? Not really.

Am I concerned about the future now article 50 has been triggered? Yes, a little - but purely because it is a step into the unknown.

There will be some immediate, short term jitters. The financial markets may incur the odd blip. But in the main, I think the UK can do it - there are other trading partners out there besides Europe so I think we should roll up our sleeves and embrace it. Who knows, in a few more years, Germany and France may even abandon the EU as an entity; and just look towards trading agreements with the UK as opposed to wanting a "United States of Europe." That has to be better, no.....?

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Well yesterday was a day I never thought I would see in my lifetime.

A day in which we begin the journey to extricate ourselves from the European Union - a political and

economic project which has in my view become an unaccountable, undemocratic, arrogant, interfering,

sclerotic, corrupt and protectionist quasi European superstate.

A day in which we are set to leave the EU and make our own decisions, our own laws and take control

of the things that matter most to us as an independent, democratic and sovereign United Kingdom.

A day I have never been more proud to be British. To the EU I say goodbye, to our European friends I say

we remain so. We are leaving the EU, we are not leaving Europe.

To all of the world I say we are an open, outwards looking country open for business. Ready to rekindle

relationships with old friends and to forge our own trading agreements with countries all over the world.

Parliament voted 6 to 1 to give the people the opportunity to decide for themselves whether to stay in the

EU or leave. They did and the democratic decision was to leave.

The process of leaving has now started and I feel now is the time for all of us to get behind that decision and

get the best possible outcome for the United Kingdom’s new relationship with Europe and the rest of the world.

There's some brilliant mountain out of mole hill building coming from the press. Let's all find and enjoy some of them over the next few days...

Some of the young`uns may not get this ? Take my word, its, just funny......

Alan..........

No idea :innocent:

Alan..........

Remember it well...... Love it Alan :thumbup1:

She wishes she was that strong !!!

Jeff

Strong ? Chuckle... One thing for sure, she will be stabbed in the back just as quick when her importance fades.

Alan..........

Ironic really that; The hated tories she's always banging on about appear to have quite the idol attraction to her. That she's shares most similarities with Farage policy wise. That the southern English (by which they mean greater London not southern England) are the most ideologically in tune.

Whatever happens can we please throw Diane Abbott somewhere far far away. Does my head in that woman.

Nothing like a bit of satire.

I've been to Portugal twice, the only departments they are ahead of us in is climate and football team. Everything else they can keep. Sorry don't want to offend you Jeff but that's how I feel.

UK for life.
