I can see that the left side can be unbolted but is the rest of it welded in ?

 

I've not attempted to unbolt it just yet but by the looks of it i'm going to need a replacement and patch up the bits below too.

I'll check mine but like everything else in this car it's probably all rusted up

Have you tried cleaning it up with with a wire brush that goes on the end of drill it might not be as bad as it looks

Looks like surface rust to me!

As said wire brush, normal drill & or dremel.

That way you will see if the rust has eaten through.

Then go about treatment.

I'd be tempted, if you can't find a good replacement that is. To either relocate an appropriate battery to the boot, I don't personally merit that much tbh. Or have yours/another acid dipped and galvanised.

You could get one powder Coated an bolt it in I don't think it's structural
