Yeah my friends dad in the next village bought it, think they did 300 miles in 5 years and not much else, bumper came with the car as you see it, also momo wheel and aftermarket bonnet as standard bonnet had a large dent.

All I did when I bought it was paint the fibreglass bonnet, couple stickers and air filter get it moted and never had much wrong with her only sold her cos I wanted a r32 GTR

What was the body like before the new paint any rust?

No rust at all, had it on the ramp for mot very solid car

I cleaned up the inner arches the day I bought it and under sealed them, shocks where leaking abit of oil due to standing but these stopped once I was using her for work

Paint was gone though, lacquer peeling off and a couple if dents and scratches

Sounds good. Do you miss it?

I do but it's an auto, paint needed attention and my dream car was the GTR, if I would of kept her I'd have no GTR and prob spend 10k on a small restoration, manual conversion , custom paint job etc

And tbh there's no comparison to the skyline, the skyline drives better, handles better, looks better, doesnt sound as good as the v6 TT but the zx is a great cheap alternative to the skylines, silvias and pulsars.

Since when was the Z32 a cheap alternative to silvias and pulsars? I'd like my 300hp tt v6 over a 4 cylinder anyday. Silvias come cheap also, most silvias nowadays are just turds though

I don't think you'll find many people on this forum that agree the Skyline looks better! :tt2:

Quite, pulsars grenade and are fragile sunnys with a bonnet scoop and silvias have mostly been drifted into a wall.... The skyline was just a different kettle of fish tho surely, four door saloon. I looked at skylines before my TT and decided, too common, too modified now and although I like the franchise, a little too fast and furious!!!!

No offence but my pulsar was faster and handled better than my zx, and the skyline handles and drives better than both of them

Silvias are fetching good money nowadays turbo or non turbo

I think Alic you underestimate pulsars, there easier to work on, parts are cheap as they share sunny parts and only 12,000 made so very rare, same as GTR only 15,000 or so made unlike 300zx there very common they made hundreds if thousands of zx

Not saying it's a bad car lets just say there more of a gentlemans car

Anyways I'm not on here to slag zx's off just come on here to clarify the car for sale as people are judging it at face value, it's a great car for someone but too dear!!

Your opinions and comments are welcome mate and nice to see what people think of the zx after driving other cars. Doesn't mean I would agree with you but nice to see your thoughts. :)

Pulsars are scary little rocket boxes. They did used to be cheap but the prices are climbing, seriously ugly though.

Wether you agree or not the Silvia is a cheap alternative to the Z. It was built to be that way. Despite the price rise in them due to the popularity of them as a drift legend. Certainly cheaper and easier to own and modify. Much more suitable as a weekend warrior to abuse. I nearly brought a S14a some years ago for that very reason.

Skylines, well the GTR ones are a brilliant bits of engineering. It is however a sports version of a saloon car, not exactly a pretty car or a sports car as such. Easier to drive and again like the Silvia cheaper and easier to mod. Certainly not free from their flaws though. I'd take a Z32 over a R32 anytime, unless it was a GTR then I might consider it. I wouldn't have an R33 anything though, seriously common, two down my road and the GTR is the only one to have. GTST etc are a bit naff.

I'm odd though, I enjoy the larger cars and cars that are a bit of a handful. I've driven a few hot hatches and stuff and it's just not what I like. Each to there own I guess.

Yep, you always hear about Skylines being in lists of Most Beautiful Cars nearly two decades after they ceased production....

Uh huh...

Silvias aren't any more expensive than zeds if you're comparing like-for-like cars. You can't compare the S15 to most zeds as it's nearly ten years younger!

I spoke to this guy months and months ago, asking why it had an NA bumper on and how the air got to the intercoolers...

He replied saying he'd done loads of trackdays in the car and never had a problem!!

I don't imagine he's done it any favours at all by doing that.........

youve been moaning about these vents last year and this year, If its that big of an issue for you why don't you go and buy the car and sort it out

Moaning? I think not.

I simply questioned why the car had an NA bumper fitted and, because of that, how the intercoolers got any airflow.

I've then stated that I didn't think it would do the engine many favours.

Hardly moaning. :)

As to why don't I buy the car myself? Primarily because I have a nicer one already :thumbup1:

Think you forget easy mate look at the old topic last year "swb on piston heads" you posted several times moaning about airflow to inter coolers blah blah blah

Oh look car still works fine

I reminded myself of that thread yesterday, don't you panic.

Look, this is easy. It was your car and you didn't care about protecting the engine from detonation or anything nasty like that. I mean, it's not like Nissan would've invested time and money in designing a different bumper for the TT model unnecessarily, right?

The car works fine. I'm sure it does. You sold it, then the next owner sold it, now someone else is selling it... all within the space of roughly 12 months. I'm sure it's a gleaming example of a well cared-for Zed. ;)

Me? I honestly don't care enough about the car one way or the other. It was a decent looking motor when you owned it and I simply questioned the reasoning behind completely cutting off the airflow to the SMICs.

That's all. It didn't keep me awake at night last year, and it isn't doing that this year either.

Would I buy it myself? Nope. Why not? Because it's had at least 3 owners who don't know or care enough about the principles of power and longevity (including one who spanked it round the track a few times) and that makes me think that maybe it just hasn't been all that well looked after....

Nice explanation mondo, looks like you do care

I only care that someone may end up buying a Zed that is potentially a bit of a dog that's had an unnecessarily hard life :thumbup1:

Well I've explained the life of the car as best as i can I'm not hiding anything, any potential owner can come on here and now see the cars history which I think is good thing

All good points and in my view its certainly worth a look if you can bring the price down.

You have been open and honest fella

Only opinions that matter will be the person that wants to buy.

Good luck with the sale

Hi all,

I am the one selling this car.

Thought I would sign up and see what all the fuss is about.

I don't use forums anymore due to keyboard warriors looking to prove a point and gain browny points amongst their internet friends.

Yes I am trade and I bought the car at auction... well guess what... that's what traders do!!!

I'm sure you all work and understand the logistics of earning money for a living.

Nice to see it has generated so much attention.
