I recently owned a lovely 280ZX 2+2, sold it , and am looking for something new. With that in mind I visited the NEC Classic Car Show and chatted with the guys on the stand who were really friendly and helpful,,,particularly the guy who let me in his lovely red car and shared a lot of useful info with me.Many thanks. Does anyone know anything about the 1991 yellow car which is advertised on Car and Classic living in Manchester? I would need a day from work to go to see it, and time is something I have very little of at the moment,,,so , can anyone help me in this regard?

I have asked similar questions in the past of car clubs in the past and have found the response really helpful.

Welcome to the club Andrew and if you were in a red Z at the NEC then that would of been Joel's 300zx.

We had a quick chat about it on the forum a while ago, though it basically consisted of that the bonnet and door shuts were a different shade yellow. Would that bother you?

 

It is a UK spec so not one of the common bunch

It reads well and looks good but you would need to check it out well and yes we have discussed here a few weeks ago.

Ali, i think you are getting confused with the really bright yellow zed, the one in the link is indeed a pearl yellow EH7 and looks to be original :thumbup1:

What a splendid response from you all....many thanks. I had not seen it on ebay,dont check it very often, but that ad mentions 131000 miles,,which is conspicuously omitted from the ad I have seen. You , who know these cars, but not this particular one , may well say that this is not an unrealistic mileage and should not put a potential buyer off.And at times a very low mileage car might hide a host of problems which will only become apparent ,possibly , in quite a short time. My view is perhaps somewhere in the middle of these ,,,but I would require a great deal of reassurance or expert opinion before proceeding. Not having any real practical mechanical ability, I have become quite good at writing cheques out over the years,,so I fear I will give this one a miss, but I will keep my eyes open in case anything else comes along. To the local chap, thanks for the kind offer,,perhaps sometime we could meet up and I might persuade you to give me a ride around the block as it were to see what the car is really like. My boss many years ago owned a 280zx and hence my interest in that and now 300,,much quicker version. Thanks again
