This is my new project which will be arriving next week. It's a 1993 na slicktop factory manual. I'm buying it from Baz who has already done a lot to it. The plan is to get it straight to Lee Dent so he can get it running when he gets time. Also need a couple of rust spots on the body work sorting. Then hopefully I can get to a few track days in it next year. Long term plan is to TT it or maybe even a v8 but just want to have some fun with it for now. Still looking for an na diff & swb prop.

Just messaged someone about a diff on another breaker, £300! I'm sure that's three times more than it should be.

It's on Alliance Street in Baxenden which a part of Accrington Tom.

I've been many times and if you mention that your friend has been it'll do no harm, i'm sure he'll be glad to sell a few bits off it, i've just really told him what i wanted to pay and he and i have been reasonable with each other.

Indeed, you should be able to buy a complete conversion minus Prop Shaft for not much more than that. Hell you can buy a whole NA for not much more.

There's an na for sale close to me but don't have the space to strip it, on eBay for £650 I think, it's in bad shape

I know which one you mean, I've sent him a message so hopefully he's still got the parts.

You're hardly looking for a nice, shiny, brand new wiring loom at a discounted price are you Tom:innocent::whistling::biggrin:

Save all the hassle of corroded connectors and broken, brittle wires.

Ha no sorry mate, my budget won't stretch to a new wiring loom.

If it's manual you'd becquids in breaking it, assuming it's the body that's shit.

Its an auto. It was the car I was going to buy last year, just waiting to pick it up. Boy I dodged a bullet on that one.

Ah, that bad ey.

Last year it still had no V5, now it has no ignition barrel whatsoever. It used to have both skirts and looks like the drivers side was hiding a mountain of rust. It also had an aero wing like my car which is now removed and rust under that... The only thing it looks like he has changed is put the right colour bumper on and put racing seats in it. I would have been gutted if I bought that lemon and then wasted £750

But... on the upside, it has less rust than my breaker  I would say it's viable cost option for the diff, as the engine and tranny would sell, then you could sell the seats and exhaust and the money's nearly back, but is it worth that much effort for one diff?

Not worth the hassle & I've not got the time to break it. I do recognise it though, not sure if it was for sale on here or Ebay but it's a right mess.

It was on Gumtree around August last year

So me & Andy met up this morning & raided this poor swb of its last decent remaining parts. Was a shame it's being broken really as the interior looked in good condition (unfortunately it was tweed) as did the underneath. Anyway, we didn't have enough time to get the diff off but the scrap guy is removing it on Monday & Andy is picking it up for me. He came away with a few screws for his Quality Street tin :-)

Ok, I'll send you some pics soon then. I can't include all the bolts with it but let me know what else you need that the slicktop is missing that I might be able to help out with, or is it mostly complete now?

I think it's mostly complete now we've raided that swb breaker but I'm sure there's gonna be more missing.
