This is my new project which will be arriving next week. It's a 1993 na slicktop factory manual. I'm buying it from Baz who has already done a lot to it. The plan is to get it straight to Lee Dent so he can get it running when he gets time. Also need a couple of rust spots on the body work sorting. Then hopefully I can get to a few track days in it next year. Long term plan is to TT it or maybe even a v8 but just want to have some fun with it for now. Still looking for an na diff & swb prop.

So Lee has been hard at work on the slicktop. The steering column was knackered so that's been changed. New shocks & springs I got from Dan fitted, TT brakes & uprated discs & pads also from Dan fitted. Managed to find a lightweight z1 prop so I think I have all the parts now. Even got the spoiler I wanted in the right colour.

Had a few updates from Lee, engine is out. Lots of deletes done, cambelt changed, engine bay sprayed black. He's thrown in a lot of shiny bits including a powdercoated plenum, he's a good bloke! Off to see him in the morning to see how it's going. Managed to find the spoiler I was after too.

So project slicktop will have an mot in a few days time. She's been a bit of a nightmare for Lee, broken parts, wrong parts, couple of things I wasn't aware of when I bought her but it's all good now. Lots of powdercoated parts in the engine bay thanks to Lee & his dad, lots of new bolts, suspension, one piece prop, brakes, wheels, interior parts. She is now a complete car. Lee's done such a good job on this although he's got less hair now because of it. Respray next year.

I want a few bits if you've got some contact details mate.

Cheers

Yeh it was Baz but that picture was taken when he first got the car so not sure if he'll still have parts. Worth a try though.

Gona stay silver. It was all ready to be started up Friday but the heater matrix is knackered so now that needs to be replaced. Damn car.

She's home! Passed the mot on Monday with no advisories & she's back on the road for the first time since 2008. Had a great drive home from Lee's, she's quick even for an na. I have to say a big thank you to Lee for all his hard work. This car has been a proper headache for him at times but it was all worth it to save her & see her on the road. Gave her a wash today, paint work looks better in the picture than in person. Plenty to do over the next few months. I'm on the lookout for a silver TT front bumper, need to reinstate the aerial & find some missing bits of trim.
