What a day I've had.

Started with a road trip from Troon to Shildon ; a cool 170 miles each way and 7 hours driving.

The trip was to collect my new interior freshly upholstered by our very own Trader Simon.

The trip itself was fairly boring but its what I done when I got it all back which was exciting :)

Screw drivers at the ready as I decided to fit it all.

So here are a selection of pics I've taken 20 minutes ago when I finished for the night ;

Not much, lol

Just really the engine, gearbox, driveshaft and exhaust.

Engine heads are away getting skimmed and next weekend I plan to start the rebuild again.

Looks fantastic Lee, you must be itching to enjoy driving this lovely machine now! Other than a serviceable powerplant, there can’t be too much left on the to-do list?

These are not the blocks you were thinking about,

They were quickly scrapped and I bought another set from Mikey.

So these have never been touched prior to me getting my hands on them.

How much did they remove last time Lee? And how much has been removed from the block during machining? Didn’t you have an issue with one of your camshaft being stiff to turn?

Time for a little update.

Luckily for me I've came into a little a money recently after the company I worked for decided to cease trading.

So I've decided to invest a little more into my project and as its the last major item required and after speaking

to a few people I'm pushing forward with my build and getting a fully forged engine built.

The plan going forward is to gather up all my current engine parts that I've acquired and do a road trip down south.

I've managed to get a great price and under the budget of £2k which I gave.

The road trip will likely commence next Wednesday so to say i'm a bit excited is an understatement.

To finally have the last segment of the build coming together in the next few weeks.

Wiring up my two news horns and as they need a separate 12v feed I've setup a relay to trigger them from the main horn feed.

For some reason the relay didn't work so while I was under the car sorting it out I decided to test the horns directly and put the

12v feed on the horns.

Bad idea !

I royally shit my pants under the zed as it was so damn loud :)

I'll try sort the feed properly and post of video of it.
