It doesn't help that you've blanked the reg out, y'know...

Have you no old documents or anything with the reg on? At least that way, you'd be able to find out it's current status. I don't recall seeing it on here since you sold it.

Do you not have an old insurance certificate with the reg on?

Pics on your pc without the reg blocked out?

Do you guys think my insurance company would have me on file still and details of that car once insured?

That's the one I had a pic of too. Have you not got the original pictures on your computer? Maybe you could undo the edit of the licence plate?

Even if the image has been modified in paint or the like, pretty sure the information (the image is made of) is still present, like layers. So whilst it may not be extremely simple you can reverse engineer the process and regain the original image. Is that correct?

Unfortunately It doesnt quite work like that. When you save an image (say as a Jpeg) it flattens the image to create an array of pixels simply depicting the colour of that pixel, most image formats do not save layers.

Also I'm not ignoring your PM btw, my subs ran out and and I can only receive not send. I've been too tight to resub lol.

Would you not need the reg number for them...?

It's probably your best shot at the moment, to be honest - nothing to be lost by ringing them and asking. The very worst that can happen is they refuse to provide the information!

Would the MOT tester you used be able to help?

May breach data protection I guess.

Did you ever take it to Jeff or the like?
