Been for sale for a while now and not sure if it was posted here before but this is a rare UK 300zx with low miles and ultra rare colour. (yes they did have a yellow UK 300zx) Colour looks odd in pictures so I hope its not a respray.

No engine bay shots???? Diff colour in there????

I think it is just a crap camera or crap light. The Pic of the Targa's looks like the right shade of yellow.

There's no way that's the original colour. Pearl yellow is completely different and it was only available in 1990 on UK cars, this is a 1992.

Wheelman's old car. Yes, the UK colour code is the same as the JDM one. There's absolutely no way these two are the same even with the worst camera in the world. It wouldn't even have been a repainted yellow car.

It looks like Ford's 'citrine yellow' that you could get the Mondeo painted in in the mid-90s.

It's an 'orrible yellow actually. Makes the car looks really cheap. The original pearl yellow is a stunning colour IMO.

Definitely looks like a respray. Look at the thrid brake light, it's completely painted over.

the UK yellow was not the same as the JDM pearl yellow, as a guy called Jez had one.

You sure about that? I'm 90% sure the paint codes are the same.

No it isn't. UK cars came with body-colour blanks.

Why would they do that?

And you forgot the

WRONG AGAIN!!!!!!

Cost saving. It wasn't a legal requirement on European vehicles to have a 3rd brake light.

This car is for sale just a minute away from where I live, I posted a couple of pics on a previous thread about it. I lifted the bonnet and its a re-spray. Its a nice car but not original. The car pitch have had about 3-4 zeds in the last 6-8 months for sale, all of them went for around 6-7K here's the two photos I posted previously. if anyone wants further details I would be happy to help, the guys who are selling it know me well!

" Is there much of a difference between the two colours when you lift the bonnet Chris? "

Yep, a big difference, if I remember right it was silver/grey in the bay. I took a targa off for a better look and the spray was done OK but it was clear its a respray. Its also a very, very bright colour, almost Luminous yellow !!

Original colour should of been yellow so its odd the bay is silver/grey. Stick the reg in the link below and its a yellow Z according to DVLA.

Not really. When the car was repainted, by law you should notify the DVLA and have that changed on the V5. This information is lifted straight from that.

I'd compared wheelman's car to the citrine yellow UK car merely stating that wheelman's car is the correct pearl yellow, not the citrine yellow as shown on the different UK car......quite easy to understand really. ;)
