Sarcastic joke. Obviously didn't work out.

Oh OK then...

Here is some delayed laughter......... HAHAHaHa...

But Im a bit peeved that Im going to spend some time looking for the fault.

The cluster has a converter expertly added which has been very reliable up to now. It may now be faulty of course.

Or the g box speed sensor.... or dodgy wiring hidden somewhere.

Whatever it is its a royal pain in the .........

I assuming there's a variable resistor that reduces or increases in resistance. If that's failed either end of the scale. I suppose depending on how it's based you will get this. My money is on the speed converter. Bit of tinkering afoot I think.

I fear you are correct.

Fortunately i can take the cluster from my spare/2nd slicktop to try.

I have some spare speedos if you need them Pete and I think I still have those speed sensors knocking around you lent me for the Stagea if you need them back. They're in a bag somewhere in the shed.

I have a feeling they were TT ones though from what i remember

Cheers Nick.

I think they were NA auto??

I dont think I ever had a spare NA manual one.

Ahhh yes I remember now - I tried it but it was a specific auto speed sensor it needed and we had something similar. I think it was TT auto i needed and I tried TT auto which is why it didn't fit.

Well I have a few working speedos if you need the parts to replace you're welcome to mate

I will be in touch later if needed.:thumbup1:

Im out on track at the Fast Car Show this Sunday at Donington.

I wont need the speedo for that as I drive on the rev counter anyway:biggrin:

Haha, I wish I could say the same - I still need to have an exhaust front end manufactured to get the TT back on the road sadly and with the friction burn on my cards at the moment that won't be happening this summer now :headvswal
