Hi All

I just replaced all the lights in the dash with blue LED, including the petrol warning light and have now noticed that the warning light is permanently on!

Can I not use LED for this light?

Cheers in advance

A little more serious reply, there is no reason why you cannot use a led bulb but like all the bulb positions you must get the polarity correct but the fact it remains lit means you have that correct - it is getting a signal for low fuel though, hence it being illuminated, whether this is faulty is another matter if you're sure there's fuel in.

Seems a common problem when fitting led to the low fuel lamp holder, guessing is due to the very low resistance of an led over a filament bulb, be inclined to fit the filament bulb back in.

Me too.......

......Or, if the newly fitted dash LEDs are too bright, that they block out the low fuel warning light; then don't bother with the low fuel warning light! You have a gauge, don't you...

Low fuel warning lights are fine on modern cars, because the whole dash flashes like a Christmas tree when you get down to your last 4 gallons (yes, gallons...). But when the OEM light on a Zed is so tiny, that you can easily fail to see it in bright sunlight, why bother? The needle on the gauge tells you when it's (probably) time to re-fuel...

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I've never really understood the need to replace all the dash bulbs for led, personally I find the stock setup just fine, if it lights up don't try and fix it.....

This may sound silly to some but if it ain't broke why fix it lol, could you not replace just that one bulb with original and see if that fixes problem ?
