Targa drain issue?

Could be the same as Jeff did a write up on where water corrodes the connector in kick panel area....?

Have you got the wiring diagram?

Trace all dead circuits back to see if there is a common point where they are all connected to the same live feed and check that point with multimeter.

Also check earth to all the same circuits and see if it has lost the earthing?....

As for the loss of permanent and switched with no crank....... sounds like the main feed from the battery has popped a fuse.....

I will take a look on the wiring diagram and let you know which fuse to check.....

Check fusible links (small fuse box by bulkhead) and the ignition relay in drivers footwell

Edited by veilside01702

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

Probably the ignition relay has failed.

It's located at the back of the fusebox behind the kick panel.

Before anything else take a couple of minutes to check the main battery fuse, this is located in the slim fuse box under the bonnet on the drivers side next to the brake master cylinder, see the picture, the blue fuse is actually a thermal link and looks like a bad fuse repair, it is not.

Remove the fuse and first check the thermal link for continuity and then look at the fuse holder, these can suffer from corrosion, it then becomes a bad connection and overheat leading to burning / melting of the holder, this then loses connection, to check this correctly may need to undo the fuse holder and look underneath at the cables ( disconnect battery whilst doing this )
