Hello everyone! My name is Alex.

I'm new here but not to the Z32 community. I most recently owned a US spec 1993 300ZX 5-spd 2+2. I'm currently interested in learning more about 1999 and 2000 version R Fairladys and finding one to import to the country I live in (which has no vehicle import restrictions at all).

Excellent, thanks! I was also told there is a running thread somewhere on here that people post to when they see a nice one come up for sale in Japan.

Thanks! It's going to feel great again having a Z32 since moving from California.

I have my first import vehicle from Japan arriving in just a couple weeks. Good test of the guy I'm using to do the import to see if he is up to the task of doing the Z for me too.

Welcome! Version R carries a higher price tag, but it's worth it :p Expect to pay at least $7,000 for a decent NA and $11,000 for a TT at auction, for the car alone. The later model (10/1998-08/2000) is the more desirable.

I agree I think Dutch gold has under estimated the price a bit there. Good luck finding one they are out there. This is my version R 98 TT manual.

Iangreenfield, holy hell that's a gorgeous ride!

Seems not all the version Rs I have seem have those wheels like yours and the advertising media of the day. Were they an option even on the R and not standard? Or maybe some have swapped them out.

Thanks, that's actually much less than I was expecting.

I did say at least! There's some sale prices from last year at the end of my first post here: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?180797-Coming-soon-in-Dublin

They're not actually original wheels. I've made that mistake too; they look a lot like the optional 16" BBS from certain angles.

Welcome aboard

Ian do you have additional pics of the interior? What kind of seats are those? Beautiful Z BTW.

They are the recaro speed seats that were fitted from the factory but the previous owner had them re trimmed in leather.

The wheels are aftermarket Team Dynamic Manias 19".

Holy cow Ian that is the first I have seen of your motor and it is incredible!!!

Welcome to the club anguilla1980 !!

Thanks Bill however I have Roobarb to thank for the privilege of owning it. God bless her.

Very nice, great price. Close to my budget, remember on this bloody island I still need to pay 30% import duty on the purchase price, plus duty on the shipping cost, plus pay for shipping, transfer fees, security fees, then get it insured and registered here, and so on.

For as much as I'm going to spend, white is nice, but I would really like another colour. Black I would never buy, red a close second for never, and white is just a bit blah for me I think. I'll bookmark it though for now.

Cheers!

Alex

I really doubt you'll find another in that condition (as it appears at least) for such a low price, and you'll have a hard time holding out for a particular colour on a car like this. The gearbox could always be changed.

Well not wanting white or black I don't really consider holding out for a specific colour, unless you are saying almost all 1999/2000 cars built were mostly those 2 colours.

It took me 2 years to find 1 part for my '56 Corvette once, patience I have lots of. I'd rather wait for a 2000 manual, THEN I might compromise and get whatever colour it is.

There were only six colours in the final edition, and I would guess those two were more common. Hopefully you'll find exactly what you want though.
