Driftworks sell them that's what I fitted to my na subframe .

What's the ride quality like? I don't want it too harsh.

The four subframe bushes are not available as OEM (unless you get a new subframe from Nissan). So you have a choice

of polybushes, rubber (only from Whiteline afik) or solid (delrin or metal). There is also an option of retaining the (possibly

worn out) OEM subframe bushes and using bushing collars. Nismo bushes are not available for this application.

Search for 'whiteline' if you want more info on them.

I think the subframe is now NLS Andrew. I believe 5540044P13 to be the part number which is now listed as discontinued.

Tdi have have Nismo subframe bushes on eBay but only 2 and listed as 200sx I'm sure there the same .not driven zed yet so don't know how harsh bushes are .

Unless your really wanting new bushes then locking collars are the way to go,simple to fit and way cheaper. Its very rare for vehicles to have bushes where the subframe meets the body,i can only guess Nissan were looking for comfort when they designed it that way.Youll not even notice the difference if im honest when the collars are fitted apart from the loose feel at the rear will be gone.

Search eBay for Nismo bushes I'm sure the ones tdi are selling will fit.r32/33/34. S13/s14 z32 all the same bush .

Hi Jimmer, which ones would you recommend for a NA subframe??

Thanks

Fitted locking collars to mine, as a pre caution. As Jimmer says easy job to.

Do the bushes look ok in my NA subframe pictured below?

Agree with Jimmer nice and easy, do them in your lunch time, will keep the driveability as stock but with less movement from worn bushes, and MOT compliant, e-bay has many listed but have used these ones many times and only £35 free delivery or collect from your nearest argos.

I've got solids with matching diff bushes. They do transmit a lot of noise, 70+mph I can clearly hear the diff over the exhaust. Collars are ideal as dropping the frame is a pain.

You going to keep it that way?

Yeah. It's tolerable to me and that's what matters. The cars super sharp now. However I may switch to a softer spring rate, everything else is in place to compensate and will give me a ride that's more British road compliant. It's fine on main roads but on the back streets etc it's pretty harsh. I believe the rate it either 12-10k or 10-8k. It's better now the alignment is done, absorbs the little bumps but the big ones are awful. In the rear there is plenty of room from travel yet but I need to modify the front arch liners, then I can happily go to a 8-6k or 6-4k. I know someone will say, just make it higher but that won't change the spring rate and it's not crazy low as it is. The dampening isn't adjustable.

If you say "with less movement", does this mean that the rubber bushings still do their job but become harder because they are pressed together by the collars? Or do the collars make it a "solid-mount" subframe?

What happens is the bushes that previously had voids in them full of a silicon type fluid ( now escaped ) now become compressed so the voids close up, but the collars are so designed they do not contact the subframe and body at the same time, that way the bush stays compliant and hence so no extra noise transmitted but a tighter control of the subframe location.
