Hi guys, not that I have £10.000 to spend, some one might, just wanted to get opinionshttp://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/nissan/300zx/nissan-300zx-tt-silver-streak/5250227 of the more knowledgeable zed owners on value for money.

I think the body kit is a bit overly done, I'm not a fan of the fake vents at the side of the front bumper and the back bumper looks like some plain fibre-glass stuff from need for speed. I'm sure with some body-kit changes it would be a rather nice car, but not for me.

thanks, just trying to gauge what to pay for what, should have kept my last two Zed's.

So surprised with the prices now, sold my last zed a 1990 tt in 2001 for £3250

Interesting.

Although I don't understand how the car has lost 123 BHP since I owned it back in the day.

Memories of us being banned from the rolling road because we flat lined the 500bhp Max rollers at 4.2k rpm.

Was remeasured on a decent rolling road at 623 bhp at the fly.

Looks like there area few changes on the car sine I sold it. Many hours of blood , sweat and tears went into this car. The Majority of the work I did myself (Paint and Engine rebuild excluded).

you mean, the vents that are designed to increase airflow through the intercoolers, by allowing the air behind them to exit the bumper directly? ;-)

Aye, those fake vents!

I must admit, I understand the purpose behind them but I'm personally not a fan of them....

Do you miss it Stu?

Every Day mate, Every Day!!

This cracked me up a bit

"Ex-Zed owner

Bought a totally stock Zed.

Spend loads of money on it.

Changed everything.

Dyno'd at 550+ BHP.

Sold it for peanuts."

I just think who is going to pay that sort of money for a z as you see some good one change hands for half that ..

The last time i saw this car was 3 yrs ago at a Dyno shoot out at Power Station which has now closed,I was expecting to get hammered by it and it made 40hp less than my 480hp when i knew it had done 500 + previous,it had a few issues and ive no idea if they were fixed so buyer beware.

You can, but not ones making north of 500hp. As Jimmer points out though, it's not quite as clear cut as that.

In fact;

I believe this is the very dyno session Jimmer is referring to.

It might not be, if it's not I've likely got it anyway.
