Dont know how rare this is but I have never seen one at any Z meets so I had to have it. Its a rear light box for your number plate but not sure I would fit it to my Z. I might wire the light up and put it on my garage wall as a Z feature. :biggrin:

I have one of these on my Zed fully working. Currently have a normal registration plate in, but am investigating the TVR plates that are translucent.

Euro 280km/h clocks. I didn't know about these.

I have 260km/h clocks - unbranded though. No clue where they are from, apart from possibly Japan as its an import zed. No markings on the rear either.

Australian spec zeds (all NA 2+2 targa's) came with 260km/h speedo's or "clocks"

 

So if your's don't have a boost gauge & look oem then they'll be from down here

There's plenty of imported Japanese TT's here but definitely only the 2+2 NA's sold locally. Perhaps canada did a 260km/h TT option then

My first Z had this '89 JDM. Very refreshing whilst in shorts.....[emoji16]

I did always wonder what purpose of that slab of plastic in the bottom of the dash was. Would be nice to have, although the crown still goes to Saab 9-5 heated and air conditioned seats. You can have a warm back and a cool tool at the same time. Made Birmingham traffic almost bearable..

 

On a slightly different note, does anyone know where the nose panel 'Z' badges can be found, specifically the red kind. Z centre have the black and red pictured but only the black available.

If I have drink in the car, yes. Cup holders are neither cool or nice. They're a functional peice of crap that became a feature of repmobiles and family cars of the late 90s.

 

I fail to see why anyone would want one and still further get excited about them. They're hideous.

 

They're fine if they're hidden or folded away as a functional item, but the things you can get for the Z32 are just tragic.

Possibly my most hated thing about zeds is the lack of a cupholder

Nope, it's dreadful. I have a drink in my 9-5 quite often, not a chance in the zed. I'm not saying I want some cheap add-on, but not having a proper hide away drinks holder is quite inconvenient. If I'm thirsty on a motorway I want to grab a drink and carry on, not sit there having to look at some Harry Ramsden's getting brain freeze whilst I try and down it as quickly as possible

You do know that if you pop out the ash try, there's a spot there which is what most people use.

 

The thought of having a cup holder and being bothered about it in a sports car fills me with disbelief. :lol:
