Sad day. However he had a really good run, by all accounts the way he treated his body in younger days it's lucky he lived as long as he did. Proper legend. Thankfully I had the chance to see them a few years back. An all time great. RIP

Its a fine wine no doubt but today I'm drinkin Jack Daniels and coke! Born to loose, live to win! :punk:

I worked in the music industry for some time in the late 80's, specifically the rock music scene. I met Lemmy, a nicer bloke you couldn't wish to meet, jovial, intelligent, no messing, decent geezer. He (Motörhead) really did make a difference to whole genre of "speed" metal and head banging in general, his early stuff with Hawkwind was cool too. Read his book, it's really good, the chap was a legend and a damm fine drinking buddy when he was on one. RIP mate, thanks for the riffs, cheers!

Must read that. The Heroin Diaries (Nikki Sixx) was really good too.

Always take a book on holiday, normally Autobiographies. I picked up The Heroin Diaries and Iron Man by Tony Iommi on the same day in Waterstones.

Hummed and hawed and eventually went for Iron Man. My list just got bigger for next year now !!
