I second that!! I was kind of hoping someone in the club got it.

It is a stunning car, if I had the extra pennies when I brought Purple Haze from Garry, I would have taken the convertible, it looked amazing, inside and out. Someone has a truly great Zed with that one.

Guys, the buyer was a Chap called Simon from Blackpool. he is into GTO's but couldn't resist the convertible. He took a train down from Blackpool last weekend, and I collected him from the railway station. 2 hours later he was off in the car back to Blackpool, arrived home around 11pm. He has sent me a text saying he wanted to register with the club, but he was having trouble with image verification or something like that??

Thanks for the update Gaz and I hope the new owner can log on with us.

I have seen an e-mail from Simon on my club in-box. I have replied, and hopefully we can fix his access ASAP!

Richard:cool:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Found an issue with the picture verification, now fixed !

yep I bought gaz,s convertible. very happy with it . only saw it by chance browsing as you do ,e bay . remember the original 300zx at 1989 motorshow . had a new corolla gti at the time .could have had a 2 year old ae86 at half the price . lol

had a few skylines /911,s 944,s since.

currently got a mega spec zx10r. srad 750 .harris "harribox fzr1040. plus mitsui gto drag race car built in japan . so garage and drive a bit full .

drove gaz,s convertible back to near blackpool where I live .300miles . took it easy asd it was a bit wet lol. car averaged 32mpg . tank to tank so correct figure on super unleaded. @55 mph . pity theres no cruise on car .

plan is to fully detail car . full cam belt service /waterpump etc . change filters /double gearbox flush . bit expensive that one .

think one of the heater motors needs attention as it makes a noise occasionally when changing setting from windscreen to next setting . dash out I believe . not a big deal . did a total wire strip and heater delete on my gto . nothing left behind dash . lol.

underneath is mint . want to keep it that way without putting thick underseal on it . looking at bilt hamber dynax uc which is just a clear thin wax so will keep everything looking o.e spec underneath .

car reminds me of a Daytona (in a jap way )

maybe a twin turbo /rb26 / 2jz with manual gearbox swap at a later date.

just going to enjoy the car for time being .ideal for cruising down blackpool prom in summer .

how many convertibles are there in uk . usa had a manual option .

any ideas on servicing etc appreciated .

already got brand new genuine service manual from usa .

cheers simon

cheers for the replies. was interested in the blue twin turbo . might have bought it if it was a manual with black leather . but then it would have been a lot more money. I get enough speed fixes with my bikes so don't relly need another fast car . make a good investment though as the very best zx,s are undervalued compared to r32gtrs . etc had a good long chat with gaz ,he,s only interested in importing the very best cars ,so watch this space. a SWB twin turbo manual would be nice. hint hint

As you are not subscribed at the moment you will have to upload them to something like photobucket and use the image url to imsert the image.

I ought to make a tutorial later since you are not the first person to ask.
