My choice is probably going to seem a bit strange! For me though, this is the greatest machine in history:

The Gibson Les Paul Custom guitar.

I think it's quite possibly the most beautiful thing I've ever seen, especially in white, and the sound it makes and how it feels slung around your neck is just... sublime...

Perfection, right there!

I own a LP but for me the Strat is far superior in looks.

My all round favourite to play though is the Telecaster

For me, nothing says "rockstar" as well as having a Les Paul slung at knee-height! :thumbup1:

I must confess, I've never played a Telecaster yet...

it is very special untitled.png

This is the one for me

It is the last of the v8 intercepter ,,,its really a 1973 xb ford falcon with a mosa nose fitted with a 351 Cleveland v8 with fake blower

looks evil lol

After pondering on this topic, I found it too difficult to isolate a single machine as my favourite. I have a general interest in anything engineeringy! but as narrow and widebody commercial airlines/cargo aircraft have paid my wages for the last 17 years, I guess they should make my favourites! I'm no certainly no "aerosexual" but sometimes I do have to step back and marvel.

At work tonight I had a defect on a jet that required jacking and function checking the gears. It's always bizarre to see a clean aircraft belly without it being airborne:

The 737NG nose support isn't for jacking, it's just a steady. The jacking is done by the mains and tail jacks, once the desired height is reached, the nose jack is only installed as a steady to support the nose in case a few cake fans entered the flight deck just after Christmas!

In reality, it would only ever be likely to topple forward if the nose steady wasn't installed, all the fuel tanks were empty and engines removed and lots going on at the front of the a/c. As a "steady" the nose is very well supported by that jack.

That is a brilliant photo

It looks like it's been drawn by Pixar

I have to say that both the SR-71 Blackbird and the Lamborghini Countach were both on my bedroom wall as a kid:thumbup:

I freaking love the two of these machines:thumbup::clap:

From what I was told, the Blackbird got so hot at speed that the metal expanded, When it was parked up it used to leak fuel, as they had to leave expansion gaps in between all the panels!!!

My Uncle Malc (RIP) used to build Tornados up the North of England, can't remember where? and my Grandfather (RIP) was an engineer working for Vickers in Barrow-in-Furness building those Nuclear Subs:thumbup:

lol,

Come on, if you've ever stood next to one of those planes then you should know they are beasts.

:)

I'm sure it is Lee but mate you can do better than that.

I've already posted my thoughts on what my favourite machine is, I just wanted to share another awesome and funny picture :)

It does look very Pixar to be fair

a marvel of its time has to be said think it should be on this list the titanic e.png
