the worlds biggest every gun. ww2 stands out its just unreal 800mm cal. and weighs 1350 tonnes its just wow

English Electric Lightning. Designed in the late 40s (yes, really), and still has the highest accelerating climb rate of any combat aircraft. A marvel of British engineering. Sadly, non are airworthy anymore. I never got to see one of these at an airshow - but from all accounts, it was an incredible sight (and sound).

For me it's tough to choose between these two but the cobra takes it for me, also it's the reason for the 70 mph speed limit in this country and the great man himself was a mere chicken farmer!!
