Just watched it now Dan... I noticed the sidelights are where the high beam is for my car as my sides are in my fogs. Quite like that set up and maybe something to consider changing:)

also note the front panel have no logo and he say one turbo for low down and the other for high up power, lol must think its a supra lol

I know.... He's not the most charismatic chap is he. Hardly an exciting review. Looks like a very nice clean example though:)

he it talking $30.000 for it wow

I thought the very same, strong money.

He mention Canadian dollars... Not sure whether that's higher than US dollars if I'm honest. I agree on one thing though... They should be a great asset for the future.

I still can't get my head around how low the prices are on these cars.... For what they are the should be going for much more. Having said that... There are more examples of them selling at a higher price now which is great to see. They must have gone as low as they could.

The way I feel about mine right now is that I don't care so much how much its probably worth... Its not for sale for the foreseeable future. I love it way too much!!

yes I agree the price does not matter atall people do go on about the prices but it just does not matter

Good find Dan.......

......And yes, he certainly got that wrong....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Price/value does matter whether you like it or not I'm afraid. Sorry dude, it might not to you, but it does to the majority of owners, either for insurance purposes (and that's a HUGE reason) or for a matter of interest as it shows its public perception.

i have been down this road before with other cars worrying about the prices and making them show winners that's great but i now just want to worry about having fun with it and how its drives i have long grown out of what stuffs worth wasted many years doing that when i should have been driving it and enjoying it, but any never mind each to there own

I actually agree with Dan on this one. Life is too short to hold back on life. I know roughly what my car would "sell" for, but honestly, I wouldn't sell it for 3 times as much. What it means to me personally at this moment isn't monetary.

Obviously, I'd like it to increase in value and for insurance purposes and for one day if I consider selling it. But, right now it's value isn't at the forefront of my mind.

I just want to enjoy it for now:)

I spend loads on time and money on cars in the past and they spent most of the time locked away worry about it in the end it didn't make me happy, just doing up cars is great but for gods sake drive it like you mean in, that's were I went wrong in past I do like show cars there nice to look at but there is no way nowdays I wouldn't drive it hard after all that what am building it for,

I wouldn't say I drive my car hard and I am working towards making it look as good as I can. I'm more interested in the looks than the power... Lets be honest, there not slow cars when they are standard.

Just had time to review that video properly. Obviously an error in him thinking they're sequential turbos.

$30,000CAD is about $22,500USD which is the upper market values in north America. You must remember that US and Canadian values are substantially more than they are here. Prices always vary a lot more as you can get clunkers, as they call it for as little as a few thousand, but market values for high quality versions of popular retro cars a very high. The same goes for older classics too. 240zs also command a higher premium than they do here. The Z car range has a better public perception there than it does here. You can't compare the markets at all.

Used cars in North America depreciate far less than they do in Europe anyway, especially compared to the UK market which is a really bizarre market. Car prices are higher, but so is depreciation.

Still being built too. lol ;)

Do all US spec cars have the sidelights in the headlight unit Si?

No US spec cars have sidelights in the headlights. They have them in the corner indicator lenses.

He's got his main beam on, you can see as he sweeps the corner, it totally switches off.

Not sure he has... Doesn't look bright enough. Its not just on one part of the video either. Suppose it doesn't really matter lol!!

indeed it is not long left now till it on the road

Keep on with it Dan... Want to see you at some meets next year:thumbup1:

if its a local one I may go. don't really do meets but I may give it a go

I agree on all fronts about the values, it's certainly not something to worry about, but I see no reason why you wouldn't be happy with an appreciating classic.

Personally, I've always taken an interest in the values as its a "nice to know" thing. However, it has never ruled my perception of the car or dictated the way I use the car. I never worry about its value, I never loose any sleep over it, I use the car when I want to use it and I choose to keep it as clean and tidy as possible because I'm very proud of it.

It's value would not change any of those things [emoji106]

I've seen a few zeds from these regions with the main beam cluster illuminated, seemingly fairly dimly. I wonder if it's some kind of retrofit day time running light?

Not sure, think it looks ok tbh... Better than the fog light being used?
