In Greek mythology, a phoenix or phenix (Greek: φοῖνιξ phoinix) is a long-lived bird that is cyclically regenerated or reborn. Associated with the sun, a phoenix obtains new life by arising from the ashes of its predecessor.

So from the ashes or parts of Purple Rain she will be reborn !

May the new build thread begin.

nice one Lee....thats the zed spirit right there !!! ...like the name and graphic but i would personally have a Phoenix badge made same size as the nissan one for the nose ....nice discrete and personal ...and wont detract from the over all look of the car

I think you should get a show plate made, like Joels, but with a phoenix on it as a tribute, but only known by the select few as to why :thumbup1:

That's a good idea.....

......And if you wanted one somewhere on the car permanently, why not have a small phoenix sticker printed for one of the rear quarter windows. Or what about as a decal on the number plate....?

Good call not to go with it on the bodywork though...

Richard:cool:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Just under three week after the zed incident on the M74 and the insurance is just started to process the paper work :)

They can be infuriating at times Lee just have to keep badgering them.

Loving the new purchase personally I wouldn't touch it id buy another car and do the phoenix rebuild as well but I know its going to look stunning anyway but that just me.

Its only a deposit and the whole thing depends on the insurance so fingers crossed.

Have I missed something, I need to see the new car!

I uploaded a few pics of the zed on facebook of the car but I have only put a deposit on it and not fully paid for it yet.

I didn't want to jump the gun on here saying its bought as its not officially mine until paid for.

Looks fantastic, all you need is to find a donor with a nice leather interior and a manual gearbox :whistling:

Happy days Lee! hopefully the insurance will get it's finger out and you'll be back Zedding before Christmas:thumbup:

Kinda gutted such a fine stock example is going to be modded but also really happy you're sticking with Z's and starting off with a fine example.

Yes it will be modified to a style I prefer but it will be done professionally and to a very high standard.

The paint job alone on my last zed {rip} cost in the region of £2.5k.

For all who managed to see the old zed in the flesh they know it was to a very high standard which all

the more makes it a kick in the balls for all the work that went into it.

I'm just trying to forget what happened and rebuild what I've lost exactly the way it was.

But now I have the opportunity to make a few modern adjustments like hopefully get my alloys that I wanted.

Didn't want to mention wheels:biggrin:, What alloys are you thinking of Lee?
