What are your cars you wish to own in the future, or that you already own now.

To keep it fair i'm excluding 300zx's from this thread.

I've always wanted a Lambo ( Muira, Aventador, Murcielago, Countach) not fussy which one. Also love the new and old American V8's (Camaro, Charger, GT40, Mustang, Corvette, Viper etc). Realistically, maybe an SL500 / SL55?

I think I'd be happy if I got my Z up and running and finished the way I want it:thumbup:

Problem with that is the shipping costs more than your paying for the car which brings it uptyo and above what you would pay in this country anyway

Imports are rarely cheaper anymore, but generally are a lot better quality

Having driven one on a driving experience it has to be Aston Martin DB9, dont mind the V8 or V12 an awesome bit of kit.

Ferrari F40.

Loved them since I was a kid, still an amazing machine just now considering how old they are.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder as they say so dont laugh at my first one. I have had four of these in the past and would love another mint one. The brick that is the Volvo 240 estate.

After several Capri's the one I still lust after is the Tickford Turbo Capri.

There would also be a few Z's but lets not go there yet :)

Gaz, my mate could more than likely find you a super-clean Ovlov 240 estate - his brother-in-law is chief mechanic at a local Volvo specialist and there always getting little gems in. He had a 480 Turbo that he offered me a few months ago (as he knows I'm quite fond of them) and there's always some old dear or old duffer that has to get rid of their barge... :thumbup1:

They are very hard to find now Si and any good one's are demanding top dollar.

Nsx and an early esprit for me

The nsx I'm considering now as a bit of an investment.

I would love to restore an esprit though, probably including fitting an Audi v8 and transaxle out back

Mine:

I've loved them since I had a go in my 1st gf fathers car. Im saving up for a replica kitcar...

Ive always Loved lambos, I had a post of a Countach and Diablo on my wall when I was a kid. Last christmas my wife got me a thrash around Brands hatch in a Gallardo, but if I was to own one it would be this beautiful box of madness.

I watched an early Clarkson dvd (video back then) with this in it and when he said it looked like Katie Hill (from Blue Peter) I was sold, always had a crush on her... i see one and I drool, the lines of the car, the 80's square-ness and the noise....shame about the price really...

My stepmother had one of these in the early 80's, shes from Seattle (I do forgive her for being American ) However I have never forgiven her for writing it off by crashing at a turnpike sliproad, she was trying to light her joint...

Lastly the cheapest, one I will get to own realistically. It has to be in red and must be manual turbo...

1991 Black MT TT LWB = 2018 - 2021 (Sold)

1989 Red AT TT LWB = 2021 - XXXX (Kept)

i have always loved these..they say that Porsche is the only every day supercar ...........these are ultra unbreakable and so basic engine tranny wise with the 351 windsor V8 they are good for endless tens of thousands of unstressed miles between basic servicingDT2.jpg

There's the usual hyper-car exotica and six-figure classics on my list - Veyron, Ferrari California, McLaren F1 and P1; Aston DB5, E-type Jag, Cobra.....

......But realistically, I still hanker for a V8. So rather then give up the ZX for a 928, I think my next daily driver might have to be either the latest SLK55 or the Aston V8 Vantage. And whilst I love the Aston - I think realistically it will be the SLK55. More sensible to spend £££s on a 1 year old Mercedes than a 5 year old Aston:wink::sweatdrop:

If I had the money though, I think I could me tempted by the new Merc AMG GTS, in white, just like the beast sitting outside Hughes of Beaconsfield the other week...

Richard:biggrin:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Had an RX7!

Imported in 2000 !

Give me any super car!

Now? Got my own

A 300 ZX TT

99 spec RX7 FD3

Lotus Esprit V8 Turbo (hankered after these since being sat behind one for an hour in Le Mans traffic.

C5 Corvette

Zed #2: 1998 Midnight Purple 2+2 NA. (owned 2020 - now)

Zed #1: 1995 Blue Slicktop NA (2013-2015)

I did Thruxton earlier this year and drove the Aventador and the R8. Both were brilliant, with the R8 just brilliant - I could do a whole lap in just one gear! (40-140). The lambo just looks amazing. Jaw dropping in the azure blue especially.

Bucket list is thus an Aventador, Audi R8 and the of course, my favorite bullet of the moment - the Nissan GTR (which no one has mentioned yet!).
