I bought the attached from a vender in the UK. I believe there to be an issue with them. Fittings from the hard lines and the lines on the body are of a male chamfer (both) meaning that the SS lines should both have female chamfers on them enabling them to locate and centre before being screwed in.

The issue I have is that the lines I have been sent have BOTH on them, ie one male chamfer and one female chamfer. Of course having a male chamfer butted up against another make chamfer would mean that the ends would not align, even when screwed in together.

Vender insists this is how they come and that they only come with one chamfer style.

Before I go mad - have I missed something??

I just can't see how you'd get a good seal with a male chamfer butted up against a male chamfer....the whole point of having male and female chamfers is for them to butt up to each other. I just don't understand why this part would come without female chamfers at either end.

Si. In your picture.....

Top one is WRONG

Bottom one is CORRECT.

You cant.... that would be unsafe/dangerous.

Do not attempt it.

I do recall that they needed to be bloody tight as mine kept leaking at first.

Better get one undone at both ends and check. Proper brake connetors shouldnt need to be "bloody" tight... just tight.

Thanks Pete! I just realised I'd gotten it the wrong way round when I pulled out my new OEM hard lines from the box.

Least I know I am not completely potty (although that has to be questioned anyway LOL). I hope the vendor comes back after I've sent in the photos.

Received a response from the vendor who's been very helpful and been in touch with HEL.

"Nothing wrong with that at all. Ours is dual seating meaning it seals on any opposing seat. Used this for over 7 years worldwide without any issue on all our kits"

Guess it's good to go then!

I can see from the picture what they mean.... but I personally dont see why they cant just make them with two the same in non universal form.

Nissan didnt use universal ends did they????

Funky if you go direct to the caliper so eliminating the small section of hard brake line that is originally in the caliper they will fit.

Hi Jeff,

These lines are not for direct calliper fitment, they're only for hardline fitment (as per what the vendor advised). The ends won't screw into the callipers.

They don't. Having said that, when you place the ends of the stock lines next to the ends of the HEL lines, they don't interlock. It's quite strange. But if that's how they intended it to work, then I guess I'd better just fit them!

Si, the hel kits all run this end fitting and for the 300 they aren't designed to fit to the caliper, hard line remains. I was lucky that I could make my own up and run straight to the caliper!
