Hi,

I'm from The Netherlands and own a 1990 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo.

I bought it about 4 months ago, it was offered for parts, I immediately bought it from internet without seeing the car itself in real.

It has no transmission or engine in it (yet), but I didn't cared.

I saved it and want to restore it completely one day to it's original showroom condition.

Here are some photos from the day I picked it up...

Most interior parts where stored inside the car, the rear bumper came also with it, so for most part it was complete.

Only one inerior panel is missing and the drivers window. (+the engine and transmission then)

  • I brought the Nissan convertible to the warehouse where it will stay nice and dry. I also removed the mudflaps, looks much better without them...

  • Thanks for the tip!   Here are some more photos after I just washed the car...

PS. Your rear rims are installed on the wrong side, you have to trade them from left to right.

If the car would be polished, it would look like new again...but it almost already does. :)

I also noticed that, the pin on the door, probably to keep more strenght to the body.

Some more nice photos...

Makes me want a vert.

I’m with you there, best vert I’ve seen. Did they produce the vert in the “98+ spec?

I have some photos from the '91 Tokyo Motor Show launch of the convertible. Would you like me to post them here?

Yes, please...I'm also collecting photos from the convertible.

It really worth to get one from the US, but I must say...I think I have extremely much luck with the one I bought, it's so well mentained and taken care for, seats in perfect condition, convertible top also.

I bought it without seeing, nobody checked it out for me first, so I knew what I would buy.

The garage was already in business for 40 years and the reviews were mostly all positive...that they did not sell junk cars, so I trusted on that.

I really love the convertible, it looks great and it's pretty rare.

Many people don't even know that it was also available / made as a convertible, which makes it even more special to drive. :)

It’s so nice to see lots of pictures of a quality 300zx. In my opinion we don’t post enough picture of our cars, it would be great to see a load of detailed pictures of other members cars just like you’ve posted. Thanks for sharing.

WOW, thanks!

Funny, it does not have the black stripe (sticker) all the way around it and the bottom and where the wheels are (don't know the name in english) it's all black.

Yeah, that would be nice indeed.

It was the first time I took detailed photos, don't know why I have not than that sooner.

Will take some more later from my convertible.

Today I went to my Nissan convertible again to take better photos from the problem about the bad fitting front nose, also made a video from it + one more...from the engine sound!

So here you go!

And a video...

As you can see, I don't believe this can be fixed with this bumper, only with a replacement one.

I noticed that the bumper is black plastic, is this original always black before it will be painted?

Edited by Diante

Don’t think you’ll make that fit without some body work and then you’ll have to match the pearl paint which can be tricky

She's so fine, there's no tellin' where the money went - Simply irresistible.

Looking at the pictures the bumper looks like a copy from pictures that’s not fit no matter how the fixings are tightened
