Jaikai, car looks well mate, apologies for jumping in on this thread but do you know what the grey connector to the right of the maf connector and slightly above is?! Mine looks like its been disconnected previously!?

Cheers bud

James

Very few changes to mine. The exhaust was painted black so that was removed back to the chrome. New wheels with 25mm front spacers, light weight prop. 99 spec rear lights and gear knob, momo steering wheel and handbreak handle, rubber rear spoiler removed and fibreglass spoiler fitted, Japspeed radiator and timing belt change. Think thats it.

  • 1 month later...

I've decided to breathe some life into this thread again as it's approaching the 1 year anniversary of me buying my Shortie and I've been thinking about all the changes in that time.

So here are the pictures that the previous owner sent to me shortly before I bought her:

Tired paintwork, scuffs and dents, crazed rear lights and the tattiest interior in recorded history! Despite all these things, I still headed to Kent in October last year to collect her because Shortie :)

So fast-forward almost 12 months and, after spending more hours and money than I'm comfortable thinking about, we end up with her now:

Quite the transformation, I think! In a sense, it's almost scary how much time and money has been pumped into this car in just less than a year - as I've said previously, I've never spent so much on a car before... and it's not like the spending's stopped or anything!

But anyway, there you go: my addition to this thread :thumbup1:

Very nice work, although I prefer the old wheels.

I actually didn't mind them, despite hating 3 spokes - the problem was that they were only 17" and they wouldn't clear my front brakes. So the Diablos came onto this car instead.

Despite them being a pig to clean, I've grown quite fond of the Diablos. Going to see about getting a price for a refurb on them soon :thumbup1:

Where did you get the intake manifold chromed?

It's been polished rather than chromed, and not by me either - I got it like this. Far too much hard work involved for my limited spare time!
