Workshop manual says 3.4L with filter, or 3.0L without - API SG or SF. I used a fully synthetic Castrol 10W40.

Got the filter from my local Nissan dealer for about €10.

If you are running a TT then a good quality 10w-40 semi synth is fine, no point in going fully synthetic because I chance my oil every year or 3000 miles.

A good quality semi synthetic 10-40w is what I and most others choose to use. A lot of companies sell oil in 4L containers these days and one of those is enough, unless you have a large cooler and empty this too. The stock system holds a measly 3.5L of oil, hence the need esp in turbo models to change it regularly.

Don't forget when you get the filter to get a replacement copper washer, otherwise the sump plug will likely leak. Alternatively and my preference is buy an aftermarket magnetic sump plug. Not only do they collect metal shavings and let you in on extra info they also stick to the pan instead of falling straight in the oil drip tray.

As above. I change my oil and filter every 3000 miles and use a semi-synthetic 10W-40. Currently I am using Castrol GTX which comes in a 4L bottle which makes it an ideal amount for my TT.

JeffTT (ex owner of ZedWorld) did say to use semi-synthetic rather than fully synthetic (not sure why, but he is a Zed god).

Regarding the filters, they are readily available from the usual car parts suppliers (and Nissan), just make sure you get a decent make e.g. Bosch.

I bought 20L of this for under £30 from Eurocarparts

Good stuff read about it on Internet before u spend more on 4L then have to buy one more L!
