Wiring up aftermarket oil pressure gauge off dashboard gauge

Title says it all and all the way through the operation I kept telling myself that it wont work but carried on anyway, so theres an aftermarket gauge sitting in a cluster with a temp and boost gauge for company, temp is wired off the dash gauge and seems to work, boost, well, easy considering the vacuum pipe was already there (it does work btw!) but oil pressure, firstly it went off the scale, then sat about 40, then knocked out the dashboard gauge which doesnt move at all now.

I know, I know, should have gone through a sender separately and did it properly, but while the clocks were off the temptation to just "give it a try" was too great!

It's not really the gauge that's the issue tbh. It's the sender, the stock senders break pretty easy. With a new OEM sender the readings are pretty accurate. Get yourself a new OEM sender and hook it up. Is the car NA or TT?

I'm not a fan of having repeat gauges. Is two water temp ones esp of one doesn't work, just looks bodge.

I'm in agreement to use new senders as stock might not be that accurate and that's how my gauges are wired

as I have separate senders for oil temp and oil pressure aswell as a separate boost gauge.
