So i went to pick up my zed today , my ratsun260, thought id share the only pic i took today as i got back late,more pi s will follow for those that are intrested . And yes i know its not a 300,but i have had four of the 300s and ive been on here for quite some years .so some might like to know what im up to. Ill stick the next thread in the non 300 stuff, but for now,watch this space.

Rarer than the 240Z by some way but still not as highly valued .

The car has had 9 owners since 1974 and yes its a matching numbers car,and yes two seater,and yes a rhdrive uk car,and the last owner had it since 2002.

The millsage is only 74,000 miles of whitch is good, im tomorow intend to take out the plugs and fill the piston chambers up with thin oil,and leve it there for a few days, i then intend to turn her over buy hand ,plugs out over the next week,then ,between the week turning her over without the plugs should line the walls of the cylinders ,and turning her over buy hand loosing eveything up and lub up, whilst doing this ill be putting in the new condenser points and distrbuter cap that i found in the car,then im going to take the fuel from the fuel pump line from fresh fuel in a petrol can,and hopefully next weekend have myself a up and running engine.oh and yes it came from doncaster way mainsfeild

No i know why this car is never being touched buy the early zed lovers,its rotton its,not just rotton but its ,ok buckng rotton,.the roof is cream crackered, absolutly bucked, and no normal human would take this on, the car chassis rails are shirt, well nearly shirt,might as well be.the floor although has being bodged and semi ,somone has atemted at some stage to replace, so thats actully a plus for the car, cas althought its a bodge job a d is shit,it dose mean that although the floor needs replacing the structral integratry has been kept, the fact that there was an incedent involing the foof of the car ment sometime over the last twenty years some plonker had filled the roof up with filler,and some ****t had put a sunroof in it before,so it was destinde to fail. And did.the roof is so far gone and bucked ,this is the only reason someone ,in the zed world hasnt bought the car,befor,and over the last ten plus years the already rot set in,the roof is dead,so the car was parked up whilst i suspect some rear arces were weilded in and aload of pooh stuffed around to makethe look good.some fanny decided to bodge the floor,bogde the sills infact, looking over this car its been bodged patched and well,words carnt explane.now see me. I found this shed of a car although compleatly bodged nuy repair over the years has kept the car straght,the font chassis isnt to bad,the firwall is also very goog,,this is why no one wants this car,

i on the other hand have owed two car body repare shops years ago and because the struture is straght can and will rebuild her,starting with a very solid good roof that i git with the car,

And like the bionic man,i have the know how,and want,the car will be stripped of every single nut and bolt, the car came with also two of the last genuine nissan front still wings,that you cant buy,these are like brand new,the car also came with an unspoilt compleate ane rust free roof,,

the car also came with a genuine non split non marked origanal compleate front internal dash with all wiring and dials. Of witch i could possibly sell for anything from a thousand pounds to two plus as they dont exssit, but i have one ,yep yep.

so you see tomorow ill put up some more pics in the non 300 thing abd start a thread for those intrested,i have big plans for this zed and i will bring here back to life,

I think you might be a bit optimistic with your pricing structure..:innocent:

One sold on ebay last month for £122 .

I have one for sale at the moment witha couple of tiny marks for under £100.

You can hardly give away 260Z instruments. I must have over a dozen lying about.

Ill spend i recond abour, 15k to 20 ,but duck ill have one call car,that ill get my twenty baack all day long,and at any stage do ill pull out. Ill get my money ba k.but im seeing this through,

Your 5k just quadrupled to 20k, you really are experienced in Z budget projections!! Sounds like a typical Z project unexpected escalation of budget over 5+ years, you don't f*ck about by throwing in the towel after less than 10minutes and hammering it!

Just to say after some fresh air outting the bin out, and just to clarifie, i recon that will cost me about five grand to to rebiuld the chassis stroke u derbody underside od the car bassically the the sound part of the car, itll cost me a grand to plaxtic blast strip the car with a acid dip and stuff, i have a 5 k engine and box. See its adding up.

Cheers Si, no orange and no veilside it on. But will have slight changes, the interia will be kept all origanal apart from the gages, maybe. The bumpers front and back will be going possibly and itll be painted in a dark graphite grey and will have the zg flairs on painted black.the only big difference will e whats poss going on under the bonnet.

Since you have a 260z and to keep engine size relative to model designation, then the only choice is an RB26DETT. :)
