True m8. The idiotic'ness between the 3 of them is as interesting as the cars the throw around the track.

Evans has been in the frame from the start, he is a car nut but you can see a TFi Friday version of top gear, probably TGi Sunday, ( Top Gear its Sunday).

Give him a chance, change is as good as a rest and the trio could be quite tiresome with the same format every week.

Yeah remember Evans is a car nut. But also remember James May wanting to take one of his particular cars out and Chris was near crying as it left his property lol don't be going through puddles lol it was damp ground and keep away from pot holes. Can't remember the car.

I found out who the other 2 are and there seems to be a theme going on........ ??

Also the first ever Female presenter.......

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

Just as long as Jodie Kidd isn't a presenter - she's more annoying than dump valves. She ruined 'The Classic Car Show' that was spearheaded and co-presented by Quentin Wilson.

Ferrari 250 California.

Hamster and Captain slow are definitely not going to be on the new show, was confirmed on the Chris Evans breakfast show this morning

I think I would cry if May took my Ferrari 250 GT California into town, let alone in the wet, £6-£8m worth of Italian metal, just one of his amazing Ferrari collection, although he sold a few to by the GT

Would love to see Jay Kay and Susie Wolff as co presenters but that would never happen.... yet.

I have been saying Chris Evans and Jay Kay for weeks But Susie Wolff is a good call as well:drool::blush:

For me Top Gear was becoming stale with the same old scripted jokes over and over again. I will embrace the change

That's exactly my thoughts, not watched it for a while now, in fact I couldn't give a Stig who presents it .

Agreed ! Was never a Clarkson fan. Yeah entertaining and funny, but a wee bit of a prick really.

Format was kinda dated ???

Not a fan of Chris Evans, but will give him the benefit of the doubt !

Being honest, I dont do a lot of television, and Top Gear was way down my list anyways.

Alan........

Good luck to him I say :clover::yes: and I hope the hamster does not come back.

So say I too.....

....Not entirely in agreement with the hamster comment - as the "old" three worked well together. But if the BBC is serious about reviving TG in a different format, then Chris Evans is a good choice. He's not my favourite presenter, but he's a true petrol head so that's a good start. I sincerely hope the Beeb does not go down the PC route and just select his co-presenters purely on the grounds of equality or diversity; but instead chose upon merit and compatibility with the target audience. Guy Martin would be good - if I could understand a word he says - and after "For The Love of cars, Philip Glenister would not be bad either!

They'll not be better than the Three Amigos in my eyes; but if I'm honest that format had run its course and a change was long overdue.

Good luck to the new team - and yes, I'll also reserve my final judgement until I have seen the first episode. The "old old" Top Gear was ruined by the introduction of new presenters and the humdrum "reviews" of humdrum cars. As a petrol head myself, I really could not give a stuff about the latest Focus or Golf - I can drive one myself at the local dealers and/or read about them in WhatCar etc.... I'd rather watch TV to be entertained. And there's very little on TV that really entertains nowadays....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
