I know his retired mate!

Then you should also know he now resides in Portugal.

I know his retired mate!

Then leave the bugger in peace!  ;)

My father lived in Portugal in the 70s. Used to teach English as a foreign language at Coimbra University.

Long way to go for a service LOL

Ifty, whats the exact nature of your request, are you waiting for one already ordered, wanting to order or other?

Might be able to help with more info

Cheers

So with Jeff retired, I take it that ZedWorld has ceased trading then?

Shame if that's the case.

Was a Post recently that all the business is routed to Powerzed now!

Shame was looking forward to getting the car to Jeff at some point. luck willing.

Queue Gary, Lol!

Jimmer is closer to you and an engine guru, so i wouldnt lose any sleep bud :thumbup1:

Their website even redirects to powerzed. From what I've heard/seen, zedworld weren't the best option anyway it seems.

Not sure about that considering how widely trusted they were - I've heard of owners travelling from here to have work done.

Let's just say the majority of work done on my car was by zedworld, and I've had to fix most of it. I heard that Jeff did indeed do a good job, but he tended to let his son loose on them and that's where the bad work came from.

I don't know the full story, only heard rumours, but looking at the work done on my car over the years it rings true somewhat. I've only owned my zed for a week, and I've spent most of it fixing things. I'll leave it at that.

Thats a big statement! In over years of working on Z's sometimes things go wrong its the same in any business. I have made mistakes at work and I am shure most of us have. But to be in business as a Z specialist and be successful with hundreds if not thousands of happy customers plus putting the time in to help members here who need advice and posting many tech threads with detailed pictures that have saved members time and money I would not say "zedworld weren't the best option" I would say Zedworld was a great option and they will be sadly missed. My Service History is full of Zedworld work and when people sell there Z's they mention that their Z has been serviced at Zedworld to enhance there sale. Thats my opinion on Zedworld and I will stand by it.

That's fair enough, you're entitled to your opinion. Like I say I'm only going on what I've heard and the work I've seen with my own eyes on my own car. I just feel sorry for Dave spending as much as he did for all the work over the years. But hopefully when I'm done, the car will be spot on.

Are you saying your Z is in bad condition because of Zedworld?

Fix it? Was it broken? What was wrong with it?

Zedworld's website is only redirected after Jeff and Jim agreed that Zedworld's old customers would now be handled by PowerZed and subsequently a redirect was put on Zedworld's old website.

The two business were never affiliated.

She had plenty of little bits, yeah. Mainly shoddy wiring behind the dash, with plenty of bared wiring, broken plugs all over the place, broken trim where they've used wood screws to put it back together, broken dash mounts, etc. I've taken pictures of everything as I've found them, so when I get enough time I can look through the history to see for definite who's done what. Not that it matters too much, once she's right she's right. But other than the rust, none of it was what you'd consider wear and tear, it's down to rough and shoddy work to save a few minutes instead of doing things properly.

TBH, Z plastics are known for going very brittle and crumbling at the touch, especially connectors. I wouldn't be too quick to point the finger at ZedWorld for everything if you believe them to be at fault, however I understand your comments. Wood screws I've heard before, I know of another member who had the woodscrew treatment too. lol

I dont know mate you bought the z of a long respected member on here and you are posting about shoddy work with wires and trim and bad work done by Zedworld and I think you are digging a big hole for yourself. Less of the blame game and guessing who did what and just get on with fixing it up to your standered.

I've been in communication with Dave all along since buying her to keep him updated, along with showing pictures. He's shocked and saddened at the state in which they left it, but happy that I'm putting her right. It makes no difference how long someone is a member, a long serving member can still have bad work done and not know it. He didn't do the work himself, he trusted zedworld with it and I've found plenty of issues, end of story. If people don't want to accept that then so be it, but as she was, she was a fire hazard with live wires left exposed between the carpet and shell, the boost controller plumbed into the balance bar causing boost spikes, numerous wood screws all over the place, plenty of places where they didn't even bother using connectors and simply twisted together instead, smashed spigot rings, etc. None of it wear and tear, all done by negligence.
