As everyone knows I have had a rough idle problem for a bit with the exhaust note being broken at random times...

After reading a thread on here with someone having a similar problem

I took the maf off and started the car... no bad idle... no break or anything. Put it back on and break in the exhaust note.

also reading the same thread they had a problem with the new maf.

Which ones are best to order?

Cheers

Plus earlier the engine cut out as I was slowing down for traffic lights... Wondered what on earth had happened

Clean the contacts first before you spunk money on a replacement MAF. It's generally the connectors that fur up and corrode.

Cheap chinese copies are renown for being crap, a good second hand unit, you are looking at about £80-£100+ and for new i would imagine the price would be :scared:

Jesus aha. Nissan have said they can't give me a quote because it's an import... I said we'll do it for a UK model then for an estimate and they wouldn't do it aha

Maf is the same part number for JDM and UK TT, they are the same bloody car lol

I tried telling them that aha but they wouldn't have it XD

So many little issues with these cars aren't they. Is there a way to check things like the MAF other than the reading on consult etc? It might just be a bit wet

Have you tried a different Nissan dealer in another area? Also lookup the part # from an online parts website:

http://nissan4u.com/parts/300zx/

and just give them that to quote on.
