Hi guys, anyone fitted one of these;

It just seems everything is at the wrong angle to undo and I'm starting to think i need to remove the steering collum to do it. Engines out so I thought it would be a quick simple job, sadly not.

I've got one of these to fit so I'm very interested in the responses to this :)

I have one of these fitted by Jeff at Zedworld. It gives you a lot more feel through the steering which most of the time is a good thing, however the good old pot holes hurt a bit more.

Sorry no idea how to fit it but in my view it is worth doing.

Cheers, I was starting to consider shelving it but if it makes a positive effect then il take the time to fit it.

Got mine fitted of alan and daz at bodymech a while back..fitted it but due to the changes in my steering system my opinion maybe unreliable but i definitley dont think its made it sloppy as such

There's the problem "a quick simple job" on a Zed :lol: you should know better

Your car is gonna be a right bone-shaker when you're finished with it! :lol:

Shaker, smasher more like. I'm just a little pissy I can't afford a new gearbox mount.

It's in and no I'm not sharing how.

Hahahaha it was ok actually. I used this link from driftworks;

http://www.driftworks.com/forum/faq-new-members-please-read/76000-stainless-steering-bush-fitting-guide.html

That was marginally helpful. The Z32 steering collum is slightly different though with nuts both end, sadly the bolt is captive though. Which meant I was forced to move the car off the ramps and onto axel stands, this allowed free manipulation of the rack by hand. Undid the two bolts on the steering rack UJ then the steering collum can slide down out the way. Assemble the bush as per the link. Reassemble. Try to get the steering wheel back on straight... Fun.

You will...it's not really that expensive in the grand scheme of things!

I think you'll be wanting to check into your chiropractor first though!
