hi guys got a knock on my passernger side rear suspension, only really doses it when i hit potholes in the road, it almost sounds like strut is loose but i know the bolts are tight. current set up is kyb excell shocks (new less than 600 miles ago) with eibach 20mm lowering springs that i fitted last year so new gaskets on the strut tops too, i've checked all the bolts on the suspension and everything is tight, the problem has been there for a while and got worse/louder after fitting upper camber arms. is it possibly the strut top mount gone faulty? drivers rear corner is quiet as it should be.

The strut top mount is just a big fat rubber bush type thing isn't it?

Its doubtful that is causing the noise, but I have personally fitted new struts to my old Z to immediately find one faulty, and that was a rear one.

When I removed it to check, the strut had about an inch of free play at any point of travel before the dampening effect and this caused a knocking noise. I got it replaced under warranty and the noise disappeared immediately.
