This is the stage we are at now with the 300zx. When a good one come up for sale you will be in competition with traders wanting to buy them up.

Very true.....

.....And traders have the advantage of getting out to see a car immediately; whereas most of have to wait until the weekend.

However it is another positive sign of a growing interest in these cars - but a PITA for anyone looking to buy one.

Great research JP thanks for sharing :thumbup1:

Ditto - Cheers Joel......

On the surface it certainly looks like a clean honest example, trouble is for anyone on hear looking to buy it there'd bound to be bad feeling about giving a trader the fastest ever £3500+ profit ever. I'd be looking to drive a super hard deal.

Come on, the trader might have paid even less than the original £3200, lets say £3k and then immediately sticks £3750 onto the purchase price for resale!

Wow! Good luck to them, but surely it will be hard for anyone in the know to stomach!

That said, a good reflection of rising 300zx prices and the original seller obviously under priced the car.

It does look like a good car indeed - and, as you and Joel have mentioned, perhaps it is now being offered for a price more reflective of where the 300zx market should be.

I would also add, though, that I'd only find the increased price the trader is hoping to achieve as hard to take if I had been unfortunate enough to have missed buying it from the original (private?) seller. In the trader's defence, it is his business to make money on each car he sells - and we also know that it might not be a "fast" £3,500 profit. He could have it sat on his forecourt for a couple of months; and I'd have thought is acceptable for a car dealer to expect £2000-£3000 profit, on average, per car sold....

Genuine UK examples in good condition are now very thin on the ground. I wouldn't say there's a fixation on them, it's just nice to see original UK supplied cars still around.

Last year when i had my orange uk lwb on the roadf the dvla said there was only 42 regesterd on the roads. That dosnt mean to say theres that again rotton off road.

I think its funny how that car was dry stored for years and is in great condition, but now it will be sitting on some traders forecourt rotting away waiting for someone to pay £6000+ and then get the rot seen to

Overall the condition just doesn't compare though. Then again, I just saw one sell for €22,000 over there. :)
