Hi comrade's

I have a strange issues with my digital climate control pod on my 300zx 90' RHD TT. The problem is that the LED-display don't show any digits, all work, buttons and sound work but no digits.

I buy on ebay some used Climate Control POD for RHD in excellent condition. But when i install i see nothing on the screen

Before install new pod i take the screwdriver and uninstall the electric scheme with LCD-display on my old and new pods. I found on display on the left bottom corner some burns spot (on the old and on the new in the left bottom corner!). Then i install new pod and of course it's not work for me. I don't now maybe it's a bug on every Climate control POD of 300zx and maybe this is not the problem that its not work. Someone can check this on yours? Please see the photos that i attach.

Of course i write to the seller. But i don't now, maybe this is not a problem.

I'll be glad for any help.

I from Kazakhstan. We have only five-six examples of 300zx (z32) for all our country. :D I do not even have to ask someone in my country

It could be that you have a short in the loom and it just so happens that when you plugged in the replacement pod it shorted and blew the LCD screen in exactly the same way as the first one did.

JaiKay of course i can start to think that it's a short in the loom. But.....i check the scheme before installation and see the burn corner. And when i install after i don't turn the ignition key before. I just think that the burn is not a problem, because i don't see any worked LED-display before.

I had the same issue on mine, turned out that the instrument brightness control button had been pressed all the way down . anyway as it was daytime I didn't know the clocks were on super dim so assumed the bloody control pod was bust , I felt somewhat stooped when I realised, my advice make sure the instrument cluster brightness control is fully turned up

As Philip stated the control ecu behind the centre console just to the left of the clutch, will be the issue. With lights off you would get full brightness digital readout regardless of the dimmer setting on the light pod.

I hear you Groover , but it directly affected mine and it could not be seen in daylight, worth a check for the sake of pressing a button
