I've put off writing this thread for months,as nobody knows what to say to make me feel any better. There is nothing you really can say, but I know I have your support. As many as you know, I am having health problems. 3 years ago I was diagnosed with cancer. Unfortunately, despite everybodies best efforts, the treatment has been unsuccessful and I am now terminal. Im not sure how much longer I've got, probably weeks, hopefully months but I will keep posting for as long as possible!!

You will be wondering what will happen to Zebedee as I am now too poorly to drive him. Well I have sold him to an active and respected member of the forum so he's not going to disappear!!

JaiKai's inspired me just now :)

A small tribute, but a tribute nonetheless...

Very Shocking and Sad news , I Remember meeting Mandy on route to one of the only meets I have been to, Almost crashed when I saw her in Zebadee waiting to join at the roundabout on the way to the Bubble . Suprised she stopped at the side of the road for me but was an honour to arrive in convoy at the meet . I dont think I was carrying much money and I am pretty sure she got me a drink or even a meal . She seemed such a lovely person , my thoughts are with her closest at this time .

So sad to read this this. Really sorry David. All of our thoughts are with you and the family.

What about an annual 'Roobarb' award??? To be given to those zed's that we believe Mandy would be proud of? Like the best cleanest zed at JAE etc. Think that would be nice.

Membership No 0780

INSURANCE GOOFA

Datascan, Conzult, ECUTalk and a few others

I have all the rare bits you can't find :tongue:

R.I.P Mandy....devasating news and a big loss to the club:sad:

Never met or spoke to Mandy due to not being on here very much but i can see she was much loved.

Sorry for you loss as when a family member parts from us its the worst feeling ever.

RIP :(

Very sad news indeed. Please pass on my condolences go the family. A Roobarb award sounds like a befitting remembrance.

I've never met you David but Mandy at least 3 times, always having a chatter with her which mainly involved oggling her car, she got those rear decals off me which you probably fit - i was passing right by your home and dropped them personally through your letter box.

Noticed her last post was with regard to me fitting chrome handles on her car for the new owner and it was with approval which means a great deal.

Credit to you also for no doubt carrying out her wish to let us all know the devastating news so very promptly, much appreciated.

Take care,

Andy.

I am sorry to have to be writing this, but Mandy passed away last night. I know she loved you guys and she was always talking about either individual owners or their cars all the way to the end. She was always someone who deserved better than me, and you lot being the competition i could never measure up to always made me smile. I wish i had better words today, sorry.

The trophy she won last year still has pride of place on her mothers mantel piece, its the only thing on there in fact.

Thank you for letting us know - and please accept my condolences; my thoughts are with you and Mandy's family right now.

Mandy was an inspiration and she will be sorely missed in the club. RIP Mandy....

Thanks for the poignant reminder Gaz; and I agree, an annual award named in honour of Mandy is a fantastic idea - one that Mandy would have been proud to have been part of.

I know I've posted already but I can see how much its affected the whole club with not much activity on the forum today other than this thread

I was wondering if we could put some kind of sticky thread up maybe with something like the following

A montage of Mandy's best posts funny posts ect some pics up of her and her car from shows ect a thread that everyone can go back too to remember her and keep her memory alive on the forum

Just an idea

Just seen this and very saddened by the news. Julie and I talked to Mandy a lot over the nec weekend and her strength in the face of adversity was and will is truly inspiring.

Our condolences to you Dave and the rest of your family.
