You bought one from CZP? Why not order from twinchip?

Because mark darbys fitting my turbos and air intake and bottom end new shells bearings ect etc.and along with other stuff that he needs for other customers.itll be cheaper to buy it in one big order with his stuff than just me bying it on my own.and before you ask why put shell a bearings in.well the awnser to that is. New higher upgraded tubs.on a car that dosnt have any noiese down at the bottom end but.makes sence to me to make sure the bottom end is nice and tight before i go runnig 500 horses throuh it.oh and as for the front end.trust me itll look sweet with the fat arse.

I would leave the bottom end alone, but that's my view. You spend your money and you take your chances :)

because VG's are very strong unless they've been abused at some point. Most of the problems with bearings going etc are usually after someone has changed a set ... If you're opening it up I would do it all and have it done properly, or leave it alone. And I would only trust one place to do it, but again, that's a different topic

Ok sort of see what your saying.firstly if its not broke why fix it.my first thought of that is .preventative maintanence. On my last car like i say.had no nocks or any signs but after tacken them out on inspection they wasnt far from failling.spinning what ever you call it. Secound thing in your opion why and were would be the only one place to get them done.dont want to open a can of worms but im only awnsering your comment.pm me if needed. And lastly how many people on here have had then done as peace of mind and not as a quick fix to see if that dorts the problem out.the reason i say thatis i yet dont know or have not herd of anyone on here who has done them for the same reson of witch im wanting them done.or do you kniw someone who has.and thats then caused them issues.

And I would only trust one place to do it, but again, that's a different topic

Jimmer!!!!

I was going to have the shells done in mine for peace of mind when it was down at Jimmer's, but we ran out of time so still running with the original ones.

Ok.so you ran out of time.but still.peace of mind knowing the bottom end is nice and tight. Whitch is my point.

I get your point, I'm just saying there's only 1 place I would trust to open the VG and put it back together again. This is from both a track record in reliability and also consistently good results when mapped.

Fair enough, I see your logic. Although combining shipping for engine build components is one thing, but the shipment of an item that size pushes it into a whole new league! I'd deffo get quotes from both before I commit. Also, I wouldn't want a box of pistons, turbos and other heavy bits rattling around inside a big box filled with comparatively delicate fibreglass; you may end up having to exercise your shipping insurance rights.

I see where your going but how are you going to get round the while square peg round hole issue? You will have to weld a joining piece that's round or it will never seal correctly.

I wouldn't say bargain price of £32 the welding on it looks shocking lol could make one for less
