You may read about the Highways agency putting in new speed cameras to catch motorists in an variable speed limit zone going speeding past a gantry where there isn't a camera

Well they are now active and set for exactly 70mph on the M6, M42, southern section of the M25 and today I've just seen one in action on the M1. It flashed as a guy on the other side went past , Seeing what they look like and and knowing what to look for it seems they are going to be on every gantry soon because the control box and wiring is being put in place on loads of gantries.... and obviously already live on some

You have been warned.

I'll stick to the A1 and go cross country !

There are (allegedly) Hadecs3 cameras on the northern section of the M25 in Herts/Essex too - where the variable limit ends (to the east of South Mims) and the hard shoulder has been removed. I know of several people (one very well...) who have been flashed at circa 90mph yet received no NIP.....

I have also been flashed by one of those and know several others flashed on the same stretch. None of us have received penalties.

Well, I was on the southern section of the M25 today, I drove at 60, just so I could check out all the gantries to see whether any additional hardware had been installed - nada!

Other drivers were driving at substantially more than 70 and the regular gantry cameras didn't flash either - so I say myth busted!

Next time! We need to discuss the 'outing', so I'll make some time next time!

......:whistling::wink:

I would never have guessed, you kept that quiet!

PMSL.....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

There was an article in London that said the cameras were being switched off periodically because the police couldn't cope with the number of tickets being generated !

Hi Tony Bradley,

Further to the last newsletter I sent you on 21st January, which disclosed plans to put "stealth" average speed cameras on

the M42 and M6 that will have a zero tolerance to speeding...

It seems the story is getting worse.

It's now been reported that the Highways Agency are also planning to install the cameras on six stretches of Smart

Motorway over the next two years, including on the:

M1, M4, M5 and M23.

...as well as on the M42 and M6, as I mentioned in the last newsletter;

...and the M25, where they are already in operation.

It seems that the "War on the Motorist" is coming back in full force...

All the best,

Adam

its just to make money simple as that they know it will bring in good money so that's why they do it as they know people will speed

Hi I got email as well have the laser detectors on both my cars but not come across a mobile camera yet. I have some other devices from Adam.

2002 Porsche C2 996 3.6
1991 Nissan 300zx TT Project

1995 Nissan 300zx TT Crashed 🥲

1997 Jaguar XK8 Scraped ☹️

I go back on my comments! I found myself a little further north on the M25 yesterday and did indeed spot the cameras on that section. They're down to the side on small brackets. Everyone was doing 70 and below, so it was easier to tell! lol

I wish I could invent a grey box that would make as much money as they do !

They are going to stay live at 70mph even when the varaible speed camera isn't on and no variable limit shown. As Adam says war on the motorist

I expect they'll have them set at the recommended 10%+2. They have to take into account vehicle accuracy and their own accuracy....and some leniency.

Not according to some guys at work ......

Not according to some guys at work ......

They wouldn't enforce it at that. Not even the mobile ones do. There would be a public outcry if that were the case.

Yeah, certainly this month on my way back from Italy. I flew from Luton.

I think that's when they were being put up and may not have been active

its a ****ing massive con we need to all stand up like france would

I have to agree, we are letting ourselves ie normal citizens become criminalised.

looks like ile have to put a speed limiter on my 15 year old Nissan pick-up then...another half ton of stone on the back of it should do it:clown:
