Today with my work I had to vist Queens University Belfast cnc workshop and saw this on the floor. Anybody know what car this chassis is for?

Today's fun fact: I was born on the very day Back To The Future Part 1 begins on.

Last night, Darth Vader came down from Planet Vulcan and told me that if I didn't take Lorraine out, that he'd melt my brain.

I beleive if it wasent for the Back to the Future films they wouldn't be so popular or iconic. But they still look good from the outside with the aluminium body and gull wing doors although the inside is very dated. I seen one driving down the Motorway towards Dublin last year and it just stood out from every other car on the road and as soon as I seen it in the distance I knew exactly what it was plus every car that passed it slowed down for a good look.

Every year the Delorean Club come to Belfast from all over the world and it is an awesome sight to see 15 to 20 of these cars traveling in convoy and in certain places they all drive with the doors open.

 

I would have one in my garage :yes:

My wife and I watched the 2nd BTTF movie last night. I love the delorean. I would jump at the chance to have one. Have you watch "For the love of cars"? They restore cars and then sell them at auction. One episode they do a Delorean and end up selling it at auction for crazy money!

I was back at the University yesterday and asked about the Chassis and was told that it was bought by Queens and was totally striped down and now being rebuilt to run on battery power! Personally I would rather have a "Mr Fusion Home Energy Reactor"You wont get the required 1.21 gigawatts with battery power.:nuke:

I am a bit obsessed with BTTF & deloreans. Been to the shop in LA where Mike went on wheeler dealers to get some parts. They do the BTTF conversions there.
