has anyone had dealing with this dealer, they are state side. they have a part i need for alot less than my local dealer wants for the same part.

any advice would be greatlly appricated.

I've found that, lately, it doesn't seem to matter who you use, you get stung for import duty. It's money lost to the taxman so I guess they have invested in making sure they get every penny they can!

It used to be that The Post Office/Parcel Force were less efficient at collecting the import duty, but perhaps they are taking it a bit more seriously too now.

I've used them as well they're good to deal with. I requested a lower value on the declaration at the risk of it only being insured at that value which saved me quite a few quid

How does this work when your buying second hand goods from over seas, say you went to buy a set of injectors from the states how can the government differentiate between a gift and a purchased good? I never pay import from china but have been stung from America before.

Why not post a "wanted" on here? Worth a try - you could find that a s/h one in reasonable condition is here in the UK.
