Hi all,

Just joined yesterday and having a look around as the 300Zed has been on my dream list having ticked off a few legnum VR4s, an old 88 galant VRV4 (which I still have) and a couple of camaros..

I am also having the internal manual vs auto debate altho I do fancy the lazy auto cruise thing this time round ...

I spotted this

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261535468270

which I know has been up for sale for a wee while but think buying an enthusiasts car could be a better option

I am based in Hemel Herts and seen one or two buzzing around hemel but not sure if they are members cars from here..

Cheers

Derek

Welcome to the club Derek and the 300zx on ebay is not known to me or the club so it would need to be checked out well.

Yes... I will check out the buyers guide for future reference, keenly priced too, but I guess par for a dealer car

Hi and welcome Derek.....

And as for the auto-manual debate; unless you specifically 100% want a manual, just buy the best condition 300zx available, that you can lay your hands on! I'm not a million miles from you, so if you do need anyone to come and check out a Zed with you, feel free to ask.... Although I am not around for a few days over the festive period....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

welcome derek iam in milton keynes so not to far from you ive converted one of my past zeds from a auto to manual, and it made for a totally diffrent car.

Thanks Richard

I just checked out your car from the photos on your profile.. .. Stunning looking vehicle.. absolutely love it..

I also agree with what you say, I dont mind either manual or auto, just the best example ... As its second car I really want to cap price at about 3k..I am slightly favouring the auto really..as my daily is manual and I do like the auto to cruise around in. The same debates are timeless on the Galant/Legnum VR4 forum too I have had both varieties, and the auto/tiptronic on the VR4 is pretty awesome. A straight auto wouldnt be a problem/issue for me

My main pre requsisites are the TT and the t top. I loved these rooves in my previous camaros and this would be such a nice addition to a 300zx; yhat and rocket propelled acceleration when kicking down from say 50mph :-)

Cheers

Thanks for the welcome.. MK not too far either,,,:)

I know we are in the winter months but is there a planned date for the next club get together in the new year?

I wouldn't bother with that one you linked on ebay, you can get far more 300zx for your money that's for sure.

Says something when the seller is so lazy that they did not even remove the trade plates for the photos

There's very few details in that advert. However it looks relatively clean and unmolested. Yes it's auto but that's not the end of the world. If it's mechanically sound I don't see why £3.5k isn't a fair price, certainly if it was manual then it's a very fair price. If, IF...it's mechanically sound.
