If the quality is as described for the belt/pump/tensioner it looks like good value. However, bear in mind, any import duty you might have to pay and also the hassle if any part is wrong and needs changing.

(I bought a set of discs from US about 10yrs ago and one was wrong........I got a replacement but it was added grief)

Good luck

I would stick with OEM Nissan Parts Mate, many many people have recommended you stick with OEM especially the water pump.

For a part that important I would stick with Nissan Parts.

Mike @ MJP I recon is your best bet.

Mike @ MJP, think Jeff has also commented on this. OEM for this part.

Reproduction 60k service kits are notoriously poor quality for these cars. Can belts won't line up properly, pumps fail etc etc, it's just not the kind if thing to cheap out on. I'd dare to say it would be safer to put your service off than use a kit like that probability wise. I know the proper kit isn't cheap but it will be done then for the foreseeable future.

It's the pattern waterpumps that are a bit hit and miss. For the small extra cost (in real terms) and the insurance policy that buying OEM gives you, I'd ALWAYS buy OEM service kits.

Cant realy put it off as the engines getting rebuilt (forged) and as Ive already spent 5k getting the main bits together just trying to save a bit off money where I can. Theres no way I can budget £600 odd quid for a full oem kit if it was just needing the cambelt and water pump I would get them but not having any history with the car means ive got to get everything including the tentioner which oem ones are like £200odd quid if I wasnt pushed for time I would wait to save enough money but mrs has given me a deadline to have it finished by april as my daughters due april 3rd so no more working/spending on cars for the summer and that means I wont have it on the road for the summer and I'll be gutted

Why do you need the full kit (beyond cambelt and tensioner)? How many miles on the engine?

Theres 130k on the engine previous owner said the belt had been changed but thats it

The most important elements out of the full 120K service kits are the cambelt and the tensioner. If you want to keep the car

on the road next summer, then check the other cambelt pulleys and water pump for bearing condition and the water pump

for coolant leaks. If they are good then you could as an interim measure just do the cambelt and the tensioner with OEM parts.

That would at a minimum keep things safe until you do the rebuild (assuming you are not going to put a lot of miles on the engine).

Also the coolant bypass hoses (part #14055-F6511) are normally replaced as part of a cambelt service.

The engines being rebuilt next month ,what could I get away with as a pattern part till next year and what must be oem ?

If you've spent £5000 on an engine build.................you know you need to get the best timing kit........

....if you spent £5k on an engine build, you shouldn't really be asking this question! It's like buying a Ferrari and putting LingLong tyres on it!
