Hello Everybody,

I'm Andrew and I'm new to the forum!

I've been looking at the 300zx's for some time now and I am finally thinking seriously about buying one!

I currently drive a MK2 Golf GTI 16v which I love, however she's a high miler and is in need of a engine conversion ;) Therefore I am on the look out for some new wheels whilst I am doing this and I have settled on a 300zx!

I'm in no particular rush to get the golf off the road as she hasn't given up just yet, which gives me time to find the right 300zx. I've always found owners clubs the best places to buy my cars as generally the people on here know how to look after a car!

I'm after a manual for sure but haven't quite decided on whether she should be n/a or TT, I'm sure you lads and lasses can tell me the pros and cons of both!

Ideally im after a later 92-94 model, UK spec if I can get it, and one that hasn't been tuned to within an inch of destruction!

So I guess anybody who's thinking of selling, or knows somebody who is, get in touch!

I'm based in Sussex, but travelling doesn't bother me if the car is right!

Thanks for reading!

I looked into that already, huge list if advisories on it, needs new brake discs, pads and brake cables, clear evidence of rot under the car that has just been sprayed over with underseal etc, car ran on tyres with wear on the inside edge for 2 years and so on...a decent enough car at £1k if you are happy to put the work in...

that the thing I look at one on the weekend it was a bit rusty cover up to top it off turbo was gone did not say any think about the problems with it lucky I only travel ten miles to look at it

Thanks for that Nips, Im looking for a zx that doesnt need much work... Im currently swapping engines at the moment just to get by!! Has anybody ever has anything/ know who owns this car? Its says its in east sussex which is where I am. Wonder what he's after for it?!...

The purple one does look nicely modified, it would be worth getting the curbed wheels sorted before a sale though, especially at the price I would guess he'll be looking for.

I'm also intrigued by the change in compression ratio that has increased the power to 530bhp.:wack:

Personally I don't like purple!

Also do not like the bonnet vent nor the rear spoiler!

Not sure the the wheels complement the car?

Bit of a glare coming off the screen as viewing by pool side in Tenerife:)

Well mines a 94 - Nov 1994 and a series 4, i wonder if this could be S3 ?

The fact that the owner as owned it many years is a plus, as is manual twin turbo, with regard to price....perhaps a tad high, obviously he's around the 4 mark.

I think he's had it up for a while, not neccessarily a bad thing as buyers in that price bracket are few and far between.

I'd give the engine a damn good test and if it passes without smoke issues then you cannot go far wrong, certainly zero depreciation.

When I was looking for one I saw that one. It was on auto trader for £9995. Its been advertised for ages. As I'm new I couldn't give advice really, but looks tidy. I would advise visiting it ofcourse!

1990 Black MT NA LWB = 2014 - 2020 (Sold)

1991 Red MT TT LWB = 2015 - 2017 (Stripped & Scrapped)

1991 Red MT TT LWB = 2017 - 2021 (Sold)

1991 Black MT TT LWB = 2018 - 2021 (Sold)

1989 Red AT TT LWB = 2021 - XXXX (Kept)

That one has been for sale on zclub net for some time.

What was the price of the purple one out of interest!

Yeah its only an hour away from me so i may see if i can have a look.

It does seem very genuine, although the part worn 'new' tyres seems a bit odd!

The lad with the purple one was after 10k. Nice car, but too pricey for me!

Wouldnt worry about part worn new tyres too much, easily replaced, but if its clean and rust free it looks a good car!

saw this on ebay recently bidding was at around £2.5K straight away then item ended probably after less than a day (overnight) so assumed it had sold?

There's another yellow one on gumtree & autotrader I think says lady owner!
