This is a genuine 99 spec panel that belongs to a friend of mine, i await some parts to come in order for the now adapted 2 x light chambers to be completed.

Although the red 300ZX outwardly is exactly the same....well it is actually redder :thumbup1:. It lights up as well, might well look pinky or orange but it is in fact the perfect red !!

And in practically complete darkness .

Can you do that to a early style one?

Easy !!

For those that don't know......it's not the lighting up i am showing mainly here, more the red matching lens to the tails which will act as fog in the top chambers and the lower stock ones still using the factory reverse light bulb holders.

All reverse light panels come as 2 x white reverse light chambers, ie giving light to therefore all four 'openings'.

Awesome Andy it looks even better than I thought it would,I can't wait to install it.

Once you or i receive those reverse bulbs first we'll fit and take pics and a vid in action for my youtube channel :thumbup1:.

i remember asking you about some time last year I was going to use one side for fog lights and the other for reverse lights so now you have found a way to do it like this that's great

Dan mine will have fog in the top red section and reverse in the lower clear on both sides. I'm really looking forward to fitting this it looks fantastic

the way he has done it here is spot on that's the way I have always wanted it to look like he say the way Nissan should have done in in the first place

I've been debating doing it but I'm unsure about the pin strip, have seen it before on the clear ones and wasn't keen. Well be good to see how it looks on the car.

Frankly, I love the fact you've out the red in the top. I'm going to be using the top one as my fogs too, got the auto resto led inserts for it donkeys ago but can never be bothered lol.

Great job on this andy

Then pin stripe sounds odd until you see it done then look at a std one without the stripes which then looks odd. I recon Nissan cocked up here and this is how they should have been done, look cleaner and more consistent imo

The panel in the foreground is the original 99 spec, the other is an 89 copy.

I have some matching tail lights to follow for the 89 one - i'll bring your attention to the lower 2 x chambers as these i have tinted.

The top two chambers will be for the fogs and here's a pic.

I got the white cree bulbs i had been waiting for in the post today.

I must say i am not disappointed with the light they put out, the red top chambers i'm only bothered to satisfy a mot tester but the reverse lights i did want to give off enough to light up the road in the darkest of situations.

Should get a video of this panel in action very soon.

Looks great Oan, only thing I'm thinking is, would it be better with the reverse glass being the same as the indicators (in looks that is)

Don't think it's as much the lens Lee as the tails have white housings behind and the reverse chambers are black and set back a little further.

Also i think the camera is picking up something that's not as visible in real life but it's certainly something i can look into.

Anyway here's a vid in action :thumbup1:.
