Morning all,

I wonder if I could ask a cheeky question - I am seriously thinking of getting a 300zx but would like a look around one for the first time in a non-sales environment so I get my bearings with the car and know what I am looking at.

I wonder if anyone is close by I could drop by and have a look (maybe give me a passenger ride!) over their car with them and listen to their advice - will come armed with beers of course to compensate you for your time

I am in Richmond, TW10 and will drive to you within reasonable distance.

Thanks in advance

Col

Richard Smith isn't too far away from you in Great Missenden. He's got a good example of a pretty much stock UK 300zx and would be a good one for you to go and visit. Gio isn't too far away from you either. Both of whom helped me out when I was hunting for a Z32 10 years ago.

I'll be down in Woodside park next mon tues evening if that is any help

Sure, could help out next w/e (prob Sat) if no-one comes up with anything closer than Wraysbury.

That would be awesome Gio, let me check with HQ whats happening next Saturday and will let you know...Col

Yep, need to check with mine also. But looking on the bright side how about http://the-perseverance.co.uk/ about 1 ish. It's about 5 mins from J13 or J14 M25. Quick drive round and then some refreshments. Well, that's what I normally do on a Sat lunchtime anyway :)

And here's the proof...

To confirm Mike, got the all clear, see you Saturday 1pm at the perseverance (along with anyone else who fancies a swift half who is in the area!)

Mike (Gio) has the best known 99 spec 300zx NA in the club. I was there when he bought it and it is a stunning example. Plus when it comes to Z knowledge Mike knows these cars inside out so be prepared to be astonished

Yup he sure is a fountain of knowledge. Still manages to get the occasional flat battery though :p

Hi and welcome mate......

.......I'll check to see if I can pop along too; in the ZX of course...

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Three times would you believe arf arf once in the blue one and once at Beaulieu and again a few weeks after that. Good grief.

Yep, me too. Good idea if anyone else wants to join in (even if their name is Richard and they've got a blue one :devil2: )

Just to confirm still good for this, see you tomorrow guys.

Col

Yep. If anyone else fancies a swift half, feel free to join in. I'm in the Percy right now as it happens and can report the choice of Mr Chubb's, Guardsman and Doom Bar. See you tomorrow, Col, Rich.

I should have realised the rugby was on before I set off from Richmond to Wraysbury, Twickenham is right in the way!

Got there eventually and had a good drive out in Mikes NA, very nice car and great to get a serious owners view as well - many notes taken and will be referred back to! Cheers Mike!

D'oh....

I completely forgot about this....

After completing the Sainsbury's run this morning, I decided to give the ZX a clean.... I've been using it daily since getting back from the Birmingham show - including my trip to York last weekend - so after almost 1100 miles in 2 weeks, it was looking a bit mucky to say the least:blush:

Glad you had a good trip out though mate - and met Gio, the font of 300zx knowledge. Good luck in your search though; and hope to catch up with you sometime!
