I'm looking for a 300zx z32 for around £1000. preferably close to sussex.

Doesnt matter whether its auto or manual, turbo or NA! MOT isnt too much of a worry providing its not too far gone for another.

Thanks in advance

Luke.

Good luck without being rude I don't think you will get much for that money I'm afraid. That's kind of the going price for a car that is for for spares only.

there is one on ebay with mot till march for 800 i nearly bought it just for parts but seller wouldn't accept my cheeky offer lol

Well that's what I'm after as a project, I've been looking at the manual 300 for £750 on eBay but it's so far away!

But there's another for sale not too far for £800 ono twin turbo with no mot but runs and drives.. Is that good??

It will cost you a fair chunk of cash and time to get it up to a reasonable standard, buying a car that's around the £3k mark will give you a far more solid base to work with, it will be cheaper in the long run.

Looking through ebay there's some real crappers, smokey rusty cars that will end up costing you around £4k to get to a nice condition.

You wouldn't be buying a 'project' for that amount, you'd be buying a headache! You need a half decent base to start with, not scrap.

I respect the opinions of my fellow members, but if you willing to put the time in and money, you can get lucky with cheaper projects, I bought my current na for £400, okay it needed a lot of welding, but it's never really let me down and is now my daily drive whilst I work on my new zed. I'd hate to think what it has actually cost me, or if I wasn't in the trade and did most of it myself what it would have cost at retail to fix,

Ok, thanks for the advice guys. I guess I shouldn't be so tight and double my budget!

Resign yourself to having to travel if you want a bargain bucket project car. You may be lucky and find one locally, but many Zed owners have travelled the country to find what there after...good or bad!

Good luck with sorting one and as Ash says, good to have another Zed owner in the South.

I got my jap import NA manual for £800. I had been looking for a long time (4 months) for one. I was searching everywhere, every online site possible, free ads and word of mouth. I went to see one in Kent that was on preloved.com but it needed a bit too much work for me and at the time I couldn't raise what the guy was asking. Stick at it, yours will come along eventually. Pheonix, you are in Haywards heath? I'm in Eastbourne.
