After being stung by marksz at the beginning of the year I made it a personal goal of mine to help out other members with parts I was not going to be using when I rebuilt my car in June. I did kind of hope that when I contacted other members for parts that some of that spirt would have rubbed of and I'm glad to say that it did with most people that I contacted(happy days). Untill the 11th of October when I paid for some rear shocks. Since then I have been told a load of old crap about them coming a tracking number that has never tracked anything and now no response!!. So just be aware that being a member on here does not mean they are trust worthy!!

At the very least, I will get a 'proof of posting'. For something substantial either in size, weight or value, I will get a tracking number, that tracking number usually has a minimum insurance value of £50, you can pay little more and insure it for a high value. I do this even if it costs a little more. At the end of the day, it's not just piece of mind for you, but also the buyer. I couldn't live with myself for being slap-dash with other people's possessions or hard earned currency.

I don't know how something could have been miss placed, lost, stolen or sent via mountain goat via Nobber Hill in Ireland when a tracking number is issued.

Just saying. :)

If something had gone wrong, I couldn't be quick enough to respond and to try and sort it out in a civil manner. It's the done thing. :)

I just checked that courier number and guess what..... Not working!!!

If it's that long something like 14 digits myHermes number then you have to enter it without the spaces on myHermes website.

If you've been given the parcel2go number, the one that starts P2G then this needs to be entered on parcel2go website.

Numbers don't always work straight away, often when the handset is docked at a depot perhaps, check on a regular basis, items move throughout the night with most couriers, so a morning is a good time to check that tracking.

What happens at these parcel drop off shops is the packages are usually plonked in an already cluttered up corner shop, this can often be in an area accessible to the public, so just like an item can be lifted off a shelf, if the coast is clear some low life therefore can take a lucky dip.

true andy, i've experienced the same problems with p2g tracking codes they sometimes dont register for 24hours and thats what i think, that someone has picked my parcel up also, i'm going to have change the way i post items but it probably means using the click and collect service which is pretty much the same but also requires the buyer to go and collect from there local shop which could also create missing parcel problems

Nope

i've just checked code it states its still in transit, its usually a two delivery but can be three occasionly
