There was I, going round a roundabout, you know, those large ones where you can set the front wheels and just power round, except this time the car decides to have a 4 wheel aquaplane, rear wheels drifting one way and the front pointing another. Should have seen the look on the face on the woman in her Micra waiting to come on the r/bout who I am now sliding towards... luckily the water runs out and tarmac comes to the rescue, grip returns and I power up my exit.. I agree with si about keeping the car for dry usage (Protect your pride and joy) as thats what my next one be for unless i get caught out and as for thrashing about in the rain and having fun on the public road thats just plain dangerous for other road users personally i don't think its cool, there is a time and place for driving your zed hard if you want to drive it like you stole it go on a track or buy a fiesta with a cherry bomb !!!!

am number 5 and you are number 6 :tt2: rdd.jpg

and am sure there is the odd number one on here to lol

Lol you guys crack me up.

A lot of members here have a second car for the Winter or even when the weather is playing up. The 300zx is not a new car where you can easily replace it if you have an accident. Parts are expensive and hard to find so if you have a nice Z32 you want to keep long term you have to care for it. These car's will be sought after in years to come so my advice is keep it clean and in standard condition.

Of course there is nothing wrong in driving all year round in all conditions but a 25 year old Z will not last without serious maintenance and they usually get sold for parts. If you are lucky to have a second car then garage the Fairlady and you will enjoy it more when it comes out to play.

I have a second car as a daily drive... It's my na... Good tt is under a proper cover and hiding, na loves it all, use it for work, down the shops, trackdays, difference is na cost me £400 tt alot more, and I've plenty of bits for lwb zed's and a bodyshop at work.

My Zed lives in a garage, and has lived in a garage for the 5 years I've owned it. That said, one of my most memorable drives was digging it out of said garage to go for a hoon in the snow at 2am one winter!

You learn a hell of a lot about car control from driving it in awful conditions, although I'm sure I wouldn't have had to spend so much £££ on removing/repairing rust if I kept it as a fair-weather car so I can see why people do!

the z is my 3rd car that's why I don't mind beating the shit out of it when I do drive it that what I got it for in the first place .yes am sure one day they will be very sort after but also one day you will die so live for now and stop worrying .like to add that my car is under a car port so it dry all the time but dam when its back on the road just after xmas I will be driving it not keeping it looked awayand you have all seen the under side of my car and what I have spent doing it and the money and time spent but fook it I want to burn that why I got the z

si cant handle the car that's all lol

My zed goes out and gets driven hard, I don't pussie foot about with it. I do however only tax it for six months, partly because that saves me £180 a year, partly because I have no time to drive it in the winter I'm fixing it usually, but fishing takes over works busy and daylight is limited. I've just got in now, the idea of taking my zed out in the wet, in the dark nahhh...bear in mind aswel where I live, I'm getting through as much screen wash as I am diesel ATM in the van, mud and cowshit everywhere, not to mention the stones there digging up the roads ATM so I've had a puncture already this month and I'm waiting to get for an even 10 chips in the windscreen of my two year old van :/
