Hi guys,

 

Not looking to give out exact details just yet but due to strange circumstances, my Z has gone missing. I am off course in the process of hunting down the people involved. But putting it up here too hoping I get some luck with it being spotted somewhere.

 

It should be somewhere in the London area. More precisely, HOUNSLOW, SOUTHALL, EALING, UXBRIDGE and ACTON.

 

Pics are attached and it is now a manual. (pics show auto)

 

Incase someone comes across some aftermarket parts, the items should be as follows: -

 

WINGS WEST style front bumper but not fibre glass, ORIGINAL

VIPER STYLE CARBON FIBRE BONNET with side pins. It's been painted in the past at some point but the paintwork now is it in real bad state with lacquer peeling alot.

Can't remember the name of the side skirts but definitely different than the normal.

REAR ARCH EXTENSIONS not carbon fibre wrapped.

MID LEVEL REAR SPOILER

VEILSIDE REAR BUMPER

19 INCH CRUIZE 135s (I believe they are called) ALLOYS

LIGHT GREY/BLACK COMPLETE LEATHER INTERIOR

HKS FRONT MOUNT INTERCOOLER

HARD INTERCOOLER PIPES UNDERBONNET WITH BRAIDED BALANCE HOSE IN THE 2 MIDDLE ONES.

REAR QUARTER GLASS KIT WHICH LIGHTS UP 300ZX IN GREEN.

ILLUMINATED DOOR SILLS THAT LIGHT UP GREEN.

 

These are the upgrades seen at first instant.

Someone real close (well I thought he was) took it and now has completely disappeared on me. So not sure what to class it as yet but its been 3 weeks. So leaving some detail here with my other progresses..

If he didn't have your permission to keep it, then I think you'll find that's Stolen!!!

I'd report to the police ......

At best he or she will only be insured third party.and as much you might want to protect your freind.if its been three weeks and no contact id at least speak to thepolice incase somthing happened.report it.

If my car went for more than three minutes without me knowing.itll be reported stolen.and if i thought for somereason that under some funny circumstances hadaccess to my keys.then at least i would think they would be contactable.def report.

Get the police to track his mobile phone he might of had an accident somewhere remote.

As silly as that sounds, that is correct. Just didn't feel the need to as I've grown up knowing him over 10 years now so waited on it but with all this wait, suspecting something silly is going on.

Don't hesitate and get the police rung.

Yes I have got a deadline in mind of if i don't hear anything I'll go to the police. For now on the forum, I thought I'll put the word out as the car or parts like that would be spotted right away as they are not common and we do give eBay or gumtree a look now and then to see what's there for the ZX

Hopefully it'll turn up, one of my old zed's was stolen from Bolton, and we never found any trace of it or parts of it. It horrible

Right, what reason did this "friend" give for needing to borrow your car?

 

Did they give any indication of how long they'd need it for?

 

Any ideas where they were going?

 

Are they married or anything like that? Is there a possibility they've used your car so they can't be traced using a car registered to them...?

 

I can't see any reason why you've not only waited three weeks but are prepared to wait longer still!! Whether you're close to them or not, they've now stolen your car and the longer you leave it, the less agreeable your insurers will be if you want to claim...!!

Will keep an eye out for it. Hope things turn out ok in the end.

You have to stop being silly here, I know it may be uncomfortable but you have to report that car as stolen. What if it's involved in an accident? Friends don't disappear in other friends cars, that's called beinga thief or at the very least an ass hole. Good luck.

Might be a silly question, but does his phone still ring etc? Reason I ask is that if he can charge it up, then he should be able to reply. See if he's been on Facebook or anything like (it just might show his location if he speaks to you or his other friends on there).

Well, the car finally returned. In a very bad state. Serious thinking to be done and major decision to be made as it's been 11 years of Z ownership.

wtf happened, why did they have it so long?

And how was it damaged ?

What explanation did they have for keeping the car and returning it in such a bad condition?

 

It's good to know that after three weeks of the car missing,, that you post your nice pics showing all the parts and extras you have, that the it then turned up within a few days! Must be forum power!

 

So will you be selling all those parts now or is the car salvageable?

No guys nothing like all that. I don't know where you guys have taken this as this wasn't an oh what should I do thread. It was just for pointers incase someone saw it somewhere or if it was being broken somewhere whatever. It was just for extra eyes incase someone came across anything. You can know people but never know what they like behind doors. I'm not going to broadcast my life on a forum the ins and outs of this story and all. I've been a subbed member for years. So was making some use of it that's all.

 

Anyway, mate took the car, lost it and trashed the passenger side from front wing to rear quarter panel.
